Nate’s studio shows the power of simplicity, and how little you actually need to start and finish what’s inside your heart/head. At the end of the day, only YOU can finish that song. It’s not the gear or the room or the daw’s responsibility. Finish your songs. We all need those songs in our lives to heal. Thx Nate keep going.
If I may offer a tip, you could consider adjusting the position of your speakers (which right now seem to be completely front facing), it's usually recommended to slightly angle them towards the center. The rule of thumb is to imagine a triangle between the two speakers and your head. Obviously don't overdo it because if you then move your chair backwards or listen from the back of the room it won't be ideal, however if you're usually listening while working near the desk and the speakers aren't angled you're not gonna get the best perception of the stereo image.
Yeah, I‘ve gotten a little thrown off by the fact, that he‘s producing for 14 years and apparently never heard of this, though speaker placement is actually super important
nice studio. Have you seen the 2007 studio videos. Literally music producer had set of headphones and crt monitor. We're so blessed with modern technology.
Nathan, loving your channel bro. What are your thoughts on the best bang for Logic Pro? • mid-2015 MacBook Pro 15”, 16gb & 500gb • 2021 24” iMac, 16gb & 1TB & M1 chip • or other recommendation?
You had said sonarworks works great, but theres the fact we couldnt EQ the room's modes out of the room. sorry to say 4" thick panels wouldn't affect the 30-100 Hz problems the room is having. We'd have to acoustically treat the low frequency room modes a.k.a low-lows with multi layer absorbers. The room wouldn't sound good because its aesthetically pleasing, it would sound good because its treated in the right way, covering enough surface of the room walls. Sorry for the 💩
This is going to be really nitpicky and irrelevant because I thought the video was good regardless, but why did you make the thumbnail after -> before instead of before -> after

This I wanted to see actually 😍😍.
Your setup is Amazing Nathan! God bless you in abundance 😇
I have the Monogram...well just the top two widgets...those sliders are great for plugins with expression, dynamics, and other articulation effects!
This is awesome! My studio is currently only a bit bigger than a closet, with one cheap analog preamp as my only hardware gear, so this is goals
Been there! I started in my parents' basement in high school!
@@NathanJamesLarsen that’s exactly my situation lol
I’m happy for you. Setup is nice.
Love how you show the spaces you started with, too! This newest space is 🔥

Great looking space, simple but effective.
I envy Nathan not only for his knowledge and abilities and everything in these matters, but also for his studio. 👍🏻
Nice studio does not mean he can make nice music, he can make likes on yt..that is for sure ;)

CONGRATS!!! Enjoy with fame, fortune and health!
Definitely not famous lol and don't have a fortune! Compared to many of my colleagues - this is still a very modest setup!

Do you have any issues running virtual instruments with your Macbook pro connected to an external monitor?
Hey, great video as always. What brand was your studio desk?
