Currently purchased my Rapid Pro in silver. First impression it's a great mechanical pencil, i use mine to write and feels great since 600 is too small for my taste. I say the rapid pro is meant for writing and drafting due to the lack of lead indicator in my opinion and because of the cushion mechanism it has. My all time favorite would be the graphgear 1000 for its price and design. Great review by the way
GraphGear 500 is far superior to GraphGear 1000, I would choose Pentel P205 instead of the Gg 1000, every time and twice on Sundays! Graph 1000 yes, it's a very good pencil GraphGear 1000 though, is overated. 2 main flaws, the pactic inside which fails sooner or later, the poor grip and the retractable tip, which kills the precision, on any kind of mechanical pencils. That last one, is the part where the wooden pencils are superior at, all retractable tips on mechancal pencils, is nothing more than a gimmick, to sell more pencils to those who don't have enough experience/knowledge. That's why I mentioned the 500, becasue it has none of those issues, and more than that, it's the most precise mechanical pencil. As for the P200, it might look or feel cheap, to an unexperienced eye, but in reallity, performance wise it is a great and very highly relible pencil.
@@greekveteran2715the gg 1000 grip is very comfortable in my opinion and the lead retracting does make it slightly wobbly but its not that bad and i dont like pencils stabbing my leg in my pockets
I got a rapid pro a long time ago from amazon and ended up returning it. There was a bit of play where the upper housing joins with the plastic ring and it annoyed the hell out of me. I don't know if I grip too hard and lever the body too much, but I think it's a stupid issue that wouldn't exist if they didn't have a plastic ring there
I absolutely love the Rapid PRO for design drawing - definitely one of my all time favourite workhorse pencils. Super solid and reliable for drafting work. There is a lead cushioning mechanism that you didn’t bring up. It’s not usually mentioned as a feature, but it’s a nice unexpected surprise when you realise it’s there - really helps reduce lead breakage.
I love the Rapid Pro line. The 2.0mm is not a clutch but also a click to advance like the 0.5mm and 0.7mm. Also not there is no wiggly point like some people report on the Rotring 800.
the plastic connecting bit is a deal breaker for me. i used to use a pentel graphgrear 1000 which broke at exactly that part. similar build. my rotring 600 still rock solid with the brass connector instead
待たせたな It is often said that the joint is plastic, but I think it's okay if there is no problem. The writing taste is useful for studying English by including 2B of Hi-Uni. Other than that, it is not very comfortable to use and the price is high, but it can be said that it is a good pen only for English.
There IS a spring function in the front, it prevents you from pushing too hard and snapping your lead. Push it down. That's why you feel the click is "mushy"
This video was very informative and helpful as always. I adore this channel for how helpful it is as I'm preparing to get myself a fancy shmancy mechanical pencil and pen collection in preparation for my junior year of highschool. Nothing too flashy but I love how there's just good insight on everything one would want to know about these products.
Alright people, I got to ask somewhere, and in one of the clips this fucked up youtube algorithm suggested is as good as any. last ½year youtubes suggestions to me have been totally of the rail and crawling whit things that´s so far away from my interest so it´s just silly. I´m a 50 year straight guy and get suggestions about Lego, makeup tutorials, cartoons that are so bad they should get banned, and lots of foreign stuff that don´t even have normal letters. Also those videos I have actually searched for and watched appear in the suggestions. Why suggest videos i have already watched!? Is there any more than me that have this annoying feed?

Gg1000 for writing? Just get ride of mine. Try Graph 1000, writes better.

Yea, in the video I missed the spring mechanism with the lead. It's quite hard to actuate but it's there!
also has a sliding sleeve.

please review the schneider ray rollerball no1 has a review on it (:
Nice video, this pencil also has a lead cushioning feature, like the Alvin Draft/Matic
Should I get the Rapid Pro or the 600? 🤔 Which one do you prefer? ( I only use it to trace patterns.) Thanks!
Lately I prefer the rapid pro, but if you don’t have either I always say get the 600
I don't like my rapid pro. 7. I prefer a double knock. Waiting for a sale on the Rotring 800 .7
I believe it is called "retractable pipe" rather than ”double knock".
Good call. Misspoke there
@@unsharpen i want a new double knock in 2024, never a chance. What's wrong with pencil world?
Would you put the knurling in the same class as in the Alvin series (Draftmatic) of mechanical pencils which is now discontinued ?
It’s less aggressive than the draft/matic
Yea exactly. Less sharp. Finer grained. Higher quality than Alvin overall
good review the Rotring rapid pro set is my go to after the Modern Fuel 2.0 set
Thank you for saving me $30.
but what did you have for lunch?
