    Thank you for sharing this! I've seen some other videos where they remove the front tires, fender, and headlight to replace this one little pump and I'm so relieved to not have to do that.

    Great video, thanks! I recommend bleeding the coolant when you’re done. Also, that electrical connector is tricky to get off. I had to pry the tab out with a screwdriver, then pull.

    Have you noticed the difference between the original pump and the one you put in? Does everything work normally? Thanks

    From what i can see you didn't put any screws on the new pump. so is it fixed on anything like the original pump or will remain on loose

      I made customized mount for it later and screwed it down as the OEM pump was. thanks for your comment

    Hi I was wondering what's the cause of this?? I had to change my invertor pump twice this year..does mean it has an engine failure etc...I dont have any lights (which indicates any failures)

    • @Petruccio1881
      @Petruccio1881  3 года назад +2

      no, engine is not the cause, fail of this part is very common in gen2 priuses, that's why I replaced it with MB pump, I also recommend you to use red antifreeze coolant. thanks for watching

    How can I tell what is the negative/positive wire on the Prius connection? The Mercedes pump says it on the pump but the Prius connector doesn’t tell me, it just has a white wire and a black wire

    • @Petruccio1881
      @Petruccio1881  3 года назад +4

      I tested it with multimeter, as I remember white is positive, to be sure test it first. thanks for watching

    Any problems with this so far? Also what does the pump cost?

    • @Petruccio1881
      @Petruccio1881  4 года назад +6

      no problems, it works great, it is heavy duty pump, in my opinion it's better and will last longer than the OEM one, I bought it in a junkyard and was very cheap. thanks for your comment.

    Wondering How exactly did you modify the connector ? Thanks!

    • @Petruccio1881
      @Petruccio1881  Год назад

      you can see that on the video - very simply I've removed the head of the old connector, than connected new one and wrapped with insulation tape.

    I have the same code but checked engine coolant temp but seems to run normal is this normal or it has nothing to do with it?

    • @Petruccio1881
      @Petruccio1881  3 года назад

      that code has nothing to do with engine coolant, that code is for inverter coolant, those systems are independent from each other, as you know coolant reservoirs are separately too, that pump is for inverter coolant system

    Are you sure a Bosch Electronical Water pump will last more than an Aisin japanese pump?? I don't think so, let me doubt...

    • @Petruccio1881
      @Petruccio1881  3 года назад

      thanks for watching. every owner of gen 2 prius knows that this pump has problems and stops working too soon, even Toyota was changing it for free, because it does not last long, but the Bosch pump I'm installing here is very durable and will work lifetime, as long as you will have this car
