Your new hairstyle looks wonderful 👍 thank you for all your videos … you’ve changed my clothing life … “if it’s not a wow it’s a non” makes choosing clothes so simple 👍👍👍
This capsule is so elegant, I can only aspire to look as chic! I’d need a different colour palette though, the pale colours terrify me and I’d spend the whole day worrying I was going to spill something down myself 🫣 I love the coat in particular. Would love to see some examples of flat shoes you’d put with these outfits as I can’t wear heels.

Always lovely and elegant! I am so pleased to see that I actually already have some of those styles! Must mean that I’ve been learning a lot from you!!
I bought my first ecru silk shirt in Paris, in the 17th arrondissement ❤ if I remember correctly. Everything you have shown in this video is very elegant and timeless ❤ coat is perfect!!
These are so chic and elegant. You make them so effortless with your graceful style. They are so beautiful. I am buying a couple of new pieces every month, eventually by winter I will have most items I need, thank you so much Marie Anne❤ Gill
It took my whole life, but I finally obtained a Hermes scarf a few years ago. It was always a bucket list item. I don't look good in the yellow cream, but I would switch out to a cool tone ivory, or maybe soft blue with brown trousers. Beautiful styling!
🧡 Bonjour Britt-Sen out of the comments in the first hour yours has been chosen as the winner of the First Hour Comment Competition 😃 email me at info@marieannelecoeur.com so I can post your signed style journal to you 😘
Your silk blouses are simply gorgeous! And I usually wear a vest like this over the blouse. It's going to get colder here soon and we'll have to forget about shoes! Greetings from Finland!
My new motto about scarves "Why not Hermes"....Thank you for the recommendation last year about looking at Vestiarie, I now have three Hermes scarves that I love and wear often.
Great outfits! But too dressy for someone whose daily routine is working from home and stepping out to go grocery shopping. Would love to see a video with suggestions on what to wear for this lifestyle that a lot of us are enjoying these days.
Love your new haircut, Marie-Anne! You look absolutely stunning! Beautiful staples for a quiet luxury capsule wardrobe, such a gorgeous colour palette. Your Hermès scarf is to die for, perfect! Merci 🤍
I love the quiet luxury trend. One thing I can’t cope with though is the lack of colour. When I wear all neutrals I look washed out and have to add a bright colour even if it’s only with jewellery.
Such elegant outfits. The Hermes scarf and Aspinal bag are to die for! I’ve just bought a pair of lovely pale cords from M&S. Not quite so high-end! But rather stylish for Autumn.
Fabulous video. When you introduced Lili Silk a couple of years ago, it became a favorite place for me to find what I would call quiet luxury. The styles are timeless, and the colours are universal. I find that a high-quality leather bag and shoes with silk is enough to be presentable anywhere. I love Hermes scarves, and someday I will buy one or two. I have been collecting silk scarves for 20 years, which are kept in new condition.
Bonjour, I love to enjoy ❤ your videos Love the way you simplify fashion with elegance. Grateful to you...I started watching you I love paris, sense of style, love for styling the clothes, accent.
I enjoy wearing vests. i also find ivory much more flattering to my skin tone than white. I already own an ivory/tan pin striped blouse that I can see wearing with the ivory jeans along with my brown leather belt and brown loafers.
A silk shirt is my favorite top nearly year-round especially in a soft white. These are really nice essentials, it’s all about the fabric quality! I love the light neutrals. Thanks, MA❤
Love everything; especially how you advocate off-white denim for Fall/Winter months. I never understood that ancient rule of NO White after Labor Day.. Here in the United States at any rate. :) Merci Bien, MarieAnne
Love it (and the hair!) but satin does not flatter me- too many bumps! Bought the Lauren herringbone coat you recommended. It's a bit big but as Nordstrom doesn't exchange (I live in Canada), decided to keep and will have it tailored or will wear with thick sweaters. Considering having it shortened to knee length as I am 5' 3" and think knee length might be better. Your thoughts on coat and dress length for the shorter woman? A brand you might consider reviewing is Artizia. Japanese design, good price point, quiet elegance, especially their pants.
Dear Marie-Anne! I love all your outfits! My favorite is the one with the pencil skirt. 😍Your beautiful scarf is the perfect color to match with everything! I own the Uniqlo wide jeans as well. They are an amazing fit and very affordable. Not too wide but wide enough for a trendy style! Very inspiring! 🤩
A beautiful, elegant capsule for those who can wear tans, beiges, off-whites, etc. Sadly, these colours don’t really suit me at all. My fall/winter colours are black, white, grey, and navy, with “pops” of red and burgundy. Everything goes with everything else. And although I love the skirt, I had one years ago, good quality, but it became “rump-sprung” after only a few wearings. So I will be sticking to wool and wool blends.
The beige/tan/etc colors don’t suit my pale, pinkish Irish toned complexion, but the colors which look good on you are also more suitable for me, too. I have a capsule wardrobe in our colors which work well for me, too.
I can't wear them either, look for winter white in knits and pearl white in silk. If you are lucky you can find a trench in a shade of taupe that has a slight pinky or mushroom cool undertone. Keep looking till you find one, don't go with the tan if it doesn't suit your colouring.
Such an elegant collection, for subtly and not only for the great quality, design, and fine fabric. I tried out a few ivory pieces to pair with neutral tan and light beige, camel, or caramel and cinnamon. Moving into Fall, ivory will probably be included in the next winter line and waiting for the new staple purchases is in order to aquire a more curated look. Ralph Lauren and others featured a winter collection a few years ago that included equestrian designs in ivory, beige and brown core pieces. One year, his collection leaned heavily on a formal or dressed for the concert hall in black and off white. Another year, the Fall collection was a very Southwestern ranch look.
Marie Anne: I love everything in this capsule and you look stunning! Your new hair is so wow! This is one of my most favorite videos of yours. Thank you so much!
Marie-Anne, what can I say......WOW, so beautiful pieces. Love them all. You look fantastic with all those outfits. Like the skirt and what you suggest doing with it, turning around etc. so versatile.
Bonjour ❤ I love pencil skirts as I’m an hourglass ⌛️ I liked what you did with the split Marie-Anne, brilliant ❤ The neutral look is so beautiful too especially worn with Red lipstick 💄and I always wear a block heel as I’m not comfortable wearing pumps ❤
Hello Marie-Anne. I loved everything! And that tote and colour is Beautiful and the loafers and pumps. Not one piece I did not like love the quiet luxury. xx
Living in the hot South, I really miss the ability to wear my cold climate clothes, just can’t get excited about lightweights. And it’s hard to find well made pieces in linen or cotton.
I am sure you know, skirts such as your leather pencil skirt are cut fillies in the back to accommodate the bottom. Therefor twisting around affects the fit.
Marie-Anne- I live close to Boston , Massachusetts and here they do not where white skirts or white pants after Labor Day. But I see you with many fall clothes in white or cream colors. What do you think ?
The old rule about no white after Labor Day is not even followed by most Americans these days Elena - but if you still wish to avoid doing so then simply choose the colours you wish and pick the types of garments I show 😃 PS I did a community post on No White After Labor Day - you can see it in the community 😘
@@MarieAnneLecoeur Thank you. I have been looking everywhere online for help in developing my own sense of style. I am a retired medical doctor. I am finally taking care of myself. 🙏

Marie-Anne, I'm wondering if you could help. Maybe other women struggle with this as well. When it comes to formal attire, there are so many lacey dresses and large floral pieces for mature women. You have said in the past that this is aging. How can we find something that is truly flattering that we can wear again? I don't want to buy something I will never wear to another formal event. For reference, I am looking for something for the mother of the bride (my first time)!! Do other women struggle with formal attire? Where are some good places to look?
@@MarieAnneLecoeur That is so helpful!! I can't be the only one who struggles with this. When I looked on the Nordstrom website, for example, it seemed like 90+% of dresses were lace or large flower prints.
yes there are so few choices for older women in formal dresses, and it's the same for my daughter who is only 29. Everything is either skimpy and tight for the teenage school formals, or matronly for older women. Do avoid lace and large floral prints, they are ageing. And lace always looks cheap and dated. You may be able to find a store that hires out dresses. Dresses bought for weddings hardly ever get worn again. My SIL spent over a thousand dollars on a MOB dress and jacket ensemble that I doubt she will wear again.
@@SueRosalie Great point! Trying to be green as well. Where I live, they do have a dress donation event, and many who wouldn't be able to afford a dress are very happy to take them. It is such a waste to only be able to wear something once. It would be nice to be able to get something I might be able to wear again. My older friends also point out that the quality has really gone downhill as well (no linings and cheap materials).
*QUESTION* Could you advise us on the appropriate length of sleeves on Chanel jackets and blazers? I know they can be pushed up, but I would like the option of wearing the sleeves at their full length as well. Sleeves that are too long scream "Frumpy!" to me.
I have seen Chanel jackets with sleeves that hit the wrist and some that are hemmed at the mid forearm Mrs T - anything longer than the wrist looks too long for me
Bonjour Valentine - absolutely it is possible - I have very many younger followers - I only tend to put 'women over 50' as that is my main demographic.
