Thank you for uploading and sharing these wonderful moments of the past. Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, was simply the embodiment of the best of Great Britain.

An historic piece of film...it was the LAST time the Queen rode side saddle {horseback} to take the salute at her birthday parade. All subsequent parades (since) have had her riding in a carriage, or simply standing on an elevated staging platform (as in the last 2 Windsor Castle Trooping the Colour ceremonies)

It brings home, so forcibly, the value of the monarchial system to a country. Would one find such love and affection towards a president or a dictator, I think not.

Thank you so much for this! I really appreciate hearing the voice of the late Tom Fleming. He had a great voice for such occasions and just as important, he knew when to talk and when NOT to talk and let the pictures and event speak for themselves.

Bring back the height requirement for the Guards and re-establish the Guards depot. Another great British institution broken by the weak and feeble.

@@michaelscott2445 The Guards Depot at Pirbright in Surrey was where Foot Guards and Household Cavalry received their basic training on enlistment. It was exclusively a Guards establishment. Sadly it closed in the late 80's and basic training was transferred to the Infantry Training Centre at Catterick, Yorkshire.

Why does the Queen Mother get the anthem, but the Queen doesn't? Seems the sovereign, rather than a Queen Consort, should have precedence.
