Heh. In the new books, there's a scene where Guiliman has trouble picking up parchments because of his power armor. He jokes about the parchments being his greatest foe. Cato Sicarious just stares blankly and Guiliman is annoyed that he's been presented as this hard ass and that nobody noted that he was actually capable of people things. Like jokes
The volkite blast followed with the squad destroyed violence was perfection, the ruthless feel of a space marine squad against a small garrison of fire warriors and local soldiers is really tangible.
surreal i just want to say you're a huge inspiration. I've begun my own sister of battle, blood angel, and death Korp of Krieg campaign. as rules I've set that commissars are set to lead my squads, if one is not available or is to wounded to heal a space marine, sister of battle, or one of the reapers, skirmishers, or templar must lead the squad. I have 1 lord commissar and if he dies then i must wait 4 turns on map before i can send anymore Krieg's men to fight. lastly all space marines must stay in their own squads unless required to lead. I hope you continue to inspire people like me to come back to games like xcom so that we never forget the joy and fun that these games bring us. Hope you have a good day.
Astartes seems to be best fighters amongst the Resistance, but Terminator is just a walking tank! He deals devastating damage, even though armour, he don't give a frag about enemies fire at him! He isn't so mobile, but with such durability and might he can move as slowly as HE want! Thank you for that compaign, I am having so much joy out of every fight and your comments about them as well! :)
Terminators provide such a fearful presence on the battlefield. The tau battlesuit maybe more mobile maybe more adaptable and yet, the robustness and simple strength of the terminator armour makes the weapons they wield more dangerous then any tau weapon… their famous chain gun cutting through multiple foes and tales of their blasters killing not only a foe directly in front of themselves but, those far away at range who feel themselves safe behind cover. Their steps fill allies with invigoration as their large frames shake the very planet. A guardsman is brave. A space marine is mighty but, a terminator for the tau to face is simply a nightmare given shape.
"To call this a game, xeno, would falsly insinuate that you were ever considered to be competition in the first place." ~Space Marine Terminator, to Tau Battlesuit "Pew pew pew." ~Tau Battlesuit gun. "BRRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTT" ~Terminator Assault Cannon
I'm really enjoying this series; the amount of detail in the mods is great, you can tell how much love went into them. I thought it was cool that the forces of Chaos came in last episode and added a sort of free for all style of of play. It'd be cool of there was some kind of xcom game that has different factions in one setting, each one fighting over control over whatever the central victory point is. I imagine it might be too complicated though for the AI, especially if having different factions need a diplomacy mechanic or something. I hadn't even heard of the Long War of the Chosen before this, it'd be very interesting to play out actually. And kudos to you, sir, for not having any causalities so far, unless I'm misremembering any of the early episodes. For a future campaign, it'd be cool to see any Star Wars or Halo game-play for the LWOTC. A clan of Mandalorians or a Battalion of Clone Troopers come across this mysterious planet off of the edge of the known galaxy just past the border into the regions of Unknown Space or simply a backwater planet that doesn't have access to a lot of hyper lanes, making it easier for factions like the Hutts or the Separatists to take over. Or perhaps some citizens that are done with the Empire's shit had received word of of a growing rebellion decide to take up arms. There's some vehicle mods of AT-ST's on XCOM, looks really cool. Perhaps the rebels have some help with some survivors of Order 66 (I know, not very original, but I know that there's some melee mods that simulate Jedi). As for the Halo idea, perhaps that some Spartan IV's come across a planet ruled mostly by a rogue faction of Elites that mean to oppress the humans on this planet or that they pull an advent and simply allow the recruitment of humans in their religion. Spartans and ODST's could be the human faction with a few allied Elites as the Templars. I'm not sure if there's a whole Covenant faction mod other than the Elites for the Advent side of things. Anyway, tldr, thanks for this entertaining series; I'm enjoying it a lot. Hope that you have a good weekend!
i love that the terminator didnt even mean to be but hes lore accurate. one of these guys legit can change a planetary invasion depending on the type and faction thats present on world.
Nice sunday upload. What an end to the week. Just yesterday I ordered my first ever minis and I hope to start painting them the coming week, even though it’s sure to be garbage. Your videos have certainly been a factor in taking that step 🙂 The Emperor protects.
Literally just logged into RUclips. Saw this. Immediately started watched. Absolutely just a lurker mate! Also blood angels main IRL so looking forward to this!!!
Im slowly starting to remember how Long War playthroughs go, keep in mind that every time you take a mission in a region the enemy readiness goes up, (which is realistic.) And once its high enough in a region, you'll be facing enemies one tier above. Since you're in mid game, You'll start encountering at least one end game unit in said missions. Gotta watch it though, sentries become absolute menaces with cool under pressure and guardian on overwatch shots, making them crit 4/5 times, (that is if you don't hard-counter with soldiers with shadowstep first.)
I'd love to see a Mass Effect or Dragon Age (or some other fantasy setting) series of X-Com. Mass Effect because I love that series. And Dragon Age (or any fantasy setting) because I think it would be funny to fight aliens with knights, wizards, rogues, and monsters. Or a possible mutant setting where all your troops are mutated life forms? Now that would be interesting.
I’m not sure you would’ve won that battle if you didn’t use those space marines. As for future campaign, I still would like to see a Star Wars run using either the mandalorian armory or the rebel alliance skins.
@@mattj1829 I disagree. Since there’s already plenty of xcom videos using the clone mod. The rebels don’t get as much coverage so this would be a perfect opportunity. Besides he can incorporate Jedi and mandos in it too since they’re a collection of different groups that oppose the larger empire.
@neofulcrum5013 yeah you're right with the multiple group angle for some diversity. He could even have bad batch as one group to cover the clones. You've convinced me haha

Lmfao😂😂 makes sense. Dudes hand in Primarch power armor is probably the size of a coffee table!
His fingers would be the size of water bottles. A single piece would be near impossible without damaging it
Nah Guiliman wouldn't have waterbottle-sized fingers, they'd be milk jug sized per segment including all that armor.
The volkite blast followed with the squad destroyed violence was perfection, the ruthless feel of a space marine squad against a small garrison of fire warriors and local soldiers is really tangible.
That blast was super cool too

Fun fact: *Naja* is the scientific name for cobras. Naja Naja for instance is the Indian Cobra and Naja Haje is the Egyptian Cobra.

to me he needs one more thing... a cyclone missile launcher! let terminate entire enemy pods in one blast.
I know it's unlikely but I would love to see the big ass centurions in this mod
Blood for the Blood… I Mean
Glory to the corpse Emperor
For the many armed god!
Blood for the Emperor! Skulls for the Golden Throne!
I can see a Night Lords campaign for this being so good
Giving Wolf a plas-rifle was a great idea/move
I should set your channel page as my homepage, your content is that good.

Things are slowly but surely ramping up :D
"We in the Brotherhood do not have a sense of humor that we are aware of."
the final blast with the music ending was epic
I wonder if any raven guard will show up? Subterfuge and organising resistance is their bread and butter mind you... if any can be found in 40k
Super happy to see a salamander, i am still holding out for a psyker Grey knight! 😊 maybe a librarian grey knight??
You're the Best! Always looking forward to your videos 😊😊😊
Hey man. I appreciate your effort and narration.
just a quick question how did you acquire the plasma guns? i have up to advanced laser weapons done and i still cant find them
I can't wait for the Dark Eldar to show up. I just want to see some space marines stomp them. Definitely not because of the headache they've caused me
A lojal terminator with a twin linked autocannon? That is not in the codex aka Heresy!
good catch, didnt notice that it wasant an assault cannon.
FOR THE EMPRAH
RAHHHHHHHHHHHH MAY THE SALAMANDERS FALME CLEANSE ALL

That last one already exists. Its called Mutant Year Zero
@@varvariiin Nice!
So want to try this out! Love the 40K mods for xcom! Has anyone got it working yet? I tired last night but it wouldn’t work.
Just finished the previous episode! Woot!
LOOK amazing! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Spectacular!
Are there any dreads though?
You should recruite a rogue trader and mix mash troops.
Death Watch is doing Death Watch S*** again!
Neat.

Hopefully not the rebel alliance, they just seem a little boring to me. Clones or Mandos would be amazing

Have the Chosen even shown up yet? And if not, why not?
Just have to say, what is the music mod for this playthrough? I must have it for mine lol
Doom Eternal music
why is joker using a mini bolter ?
Hi I’m new here but I love your videos. Has he ever said if he’ll make a RP series for Skyrim?
Dude, literally pulled a relic suit of terminator armor out of thin air what??
A little sad that the combatants didn't exchange gunfire unless told to, it makes the battle less chaotic and energetic
Oh yeah. I had to turn off idle suppression the mod. Or it would have crashed the game.
Haha, xcom using all its power to mimic 1% of the average 40k battle, love the content
THE THICKEST OF BOI!
Just finished the last episode and now im FORCED to procrastinate until I finish this video 🙄
Mod list?
Yikes!
🤘🏼🤌🏼
