Ya did nothing wrong and technically still can fill them in. Even just black background and borders could punch it up; sometimes I like to add black even over parts I put detail and time in, just to take away and further shape my art. Just a suggestion. Mad respect for that type of commitment to a mandala drawing so complex though. Great work
actually i would not fill them, because if you see them closely it gives clear sense of 3 d effect the white there when zoomed show you that there is something behind the drawing absolute 3d weather you meanted or not.
Peter Draws and another artist are my two favorite to listen to. His name is David Bull, he makes a special kind of Japanese wood carving. His voice is also very calming and has a real similar vibe as Peter. He just uses small carving tools and a plain piece of wood and carves the wood to make paper prints. If you like watching other really talented artists, I recommend him for at night.

As a matter of fact, I stopped the video right on it, it's still sitting there while I'm writing, because I wanted to comment, with the time included ( 3:38:12), and I didn't want to get to the end of the video and forget about my comment. Did you use a palette knife, or a special brush of some kind, or your fingers? Acrylic or oil? Anyway, I think even Van Gogh would be impressed by that texture.
I went on google to inquire about ribs. I asked the question “where do ribs come from?” I forgot that they’re a food and got nothing but bbq recommendations. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
