Yup mine went out about 6 years ago and it cost me $2500. Guess what it went out again this last winter. I just replaced the fuse in the converter myself but still no hot air. Now to purchase a PTC heater and replace that.

I have 2013 Model S. Heater not working. They quoted 3k to 4k to fix. They won't know for sure until they can diagnose. To diagnose is $175 an hour and it will take two to three hours. That's why I haven't fix. Is there a shop there that can do this repair. I'm in Vegas. Thanks

TJ Tan Electrified Garage has a video on how to replace the fuses in the converter. They are located in north of Boston. I know that is far from you. ruclips.net/video/HWTcgFswHXE/видео.html

Can you post a video on HOW to remove the PTC heater?
I can see and have access to it through the centre console, but how do you unscrew it and get it to come out from the bottom?

Amanda, here in Arizona the heater is not exchange so often. When this fails again will show this. Rolf

My 2014 smart electric car has a bad ptc heater. It’s $3000 for the part. I ordered a used one for $300. I hope to dig into the electronics to see where it failed.

I have a Tesla model S from 2013, I live in the south west of France.
Can you tell me where to buy the PTC heater ? Do you have a link ?
Do you know how to dismantle the PTC heater ? Where is it situated in the car ?
    Thank you for your help.

Anyone know if the fan blower motor has a relay type fuse? Mine is only working intermittently. 2016 Model S

Patrick, Are you subscribed to our channel? We would be glad to help. I would think the fan motor is 12V with brushes and would need to be replaced. Rolf

@@TeslaOwnersUSI got one of it replaced by a local shop. It shows 2 rods shows right inner and right outer rod compromised.
Is that acceptable. The local repair shop installed a refurbished one.

Just a heads up Rolf. Not sure why but the audio is out of sync with the video in the early phase but sorts itself out by the end.
