Zakir is a national treasure for India.
Once in a lifetime does one see/hear someone like U. Srinivasan. I am sure he is playing in the Indra's darbar
I have a feeling that SRINIVAS Is incarnation of Swami Vivekanada both conquered the world through spritualism and Music.Suprisingly both left for heavenly ABODE at an early age. A close look at both their photos will clear once doubt.

@@mehtakhanjan 1. Kangana Ranaut and Saif Ali are NOT Bharat Ratna awardees. They have earned Padma Awards. Neither is Late U. Srinivas a Bharat Ratna awardee.
2. Modifying an instrument according to one's own needs is not something to be frowned upon. This has been done by musicians in the past as well. In fact, it is the only way by which an instrument evolves. This has been done by musicians to Sitar, to Sarod, to Santoor, to Tabla and Bamboo flute as well.
3. I do not wish to question your talent as a sound engineer. Neither do I wish to discuss Mandolin Srinivas ji's ability to mix and master music. I'm sure you must be the greatest at it. But hey, we're talking about your Mandolin skills, since you are cursing his playing skills.
4. Do you think that playing only one instrument for a lifetime make one a lesser artist? That's the greatest LOL I've heard in a long time. There have been numerous musicians who have played only one instrument for life, and they were/still are legends.
5. Something about creating new Ragas - dear sir, even that is not the mark of a good musician. If it were so, every Tom, Dick, and Harry would have been called legend. Unfolding a raga, not creating it, is tough.
6. I'm neither a loyal fan, nor musically illiterate..so stop labelling everyone at once.
7. Bharat Ratna is a showoff? Wow! Enlighten me on this please.
8. Ustad Zakir Hussain sahab himself says (very often) that he's not the best tabla player. Something to learn from him? (A bit of humility, perhaps?)
9. People like marketing dudes...their choice. We cannot really force them to like whatever we want them to like.
