I almost lost my shit just by that sound. I haven't been able to stop watching that tease trailer just wondering how the rest of the game is going to look like. All the Summons, Weapon, Gold Saucer, the City of the Ancients, etc. I don't think my heart is going to handle my emotions once i start playing FF7 remake.

GhostS1lv3r • That, my friend, was actually the Main Theme of Final Fantasy VII (and that’s what it will be called, if you’re looking for it), composed by Nobuo Uematsu. The version Max was playing sounds like the full orchestral version.
GravianS Square has a pretty good track record of inviting the original composers back, from what I understand. Worst case scenario: they just rearrange/remix the original soundtrack-I DO NOT see them changing the music entirely, though. It’s too iconic.
Based on the trailer, I’m more worried about the English voice actors coming back.

Nah, I lost most of my hype with the combat reveal awhile back. I'll still play it eventually, but my Max-level excitement is gone. All I'm curious about now is how everything will turn out as far as the multiple part release is concerned, any possible dlc, if there's a collection of all parts in the end, how long it'll take to finish development and to play each part, etc.

The thing is that the ground is clearly asphalt. That's not what Nibelheim's road was. So, it's likely Cloud is actually hallucinating here BECAUSE OF the fire from one of the bombs going off. @Maximilian Dood the fire scene must be from when he confronted Sephiroth in his flashback to return to Nibelheim.
The Sephiroth scene is likely a Cloud hallucination. Probably why Aerith's asking if Cloud's okay later, and especially if they keep his brief breakdown from the original trailer. Cloud's psychosis may be a commonly questioned thing instead of just occasionally hinted at. Don't forget that Cloud inexplicably has some brief flashback at the first reactor in the original game, it wouldn't surprise me if they're allotting Sephiroth into stirring that.

@@okagron I get you not wanting an action rpg, but the whole point of it being a remake, not a remaster, is to update it to modern times. Case in point, many felt abandoning tank controls, three way aiming and fixed camera angles in favor of more modern controls or adding things like auto mapping or countering with knifes was blasphemy against the original RE games. Yet, both RE and RE2 remakes turned out just fine.

For those who dont understand:
This game has been a staple of so many childhoods and meant so much to so many of us for so many years. The storytelling, battle system, music, new of age graphics and just the overall captivating and compelling game itself has been our friend since inception. The long awaited remake of one of the best games of all time and that's no exaggeration, is long overdue. We as life long fans welcome this with open arms and weary judgment. We want this to live up to the hype. It deserves the attention to detail down to the last gysahl green. Its been a long road and still more patience is required but! Progress has been made and the reality is ever closer.

I remember getting this game for Christmas when I was about 10-11. After failing the first boss a few times (I didn't fully understand that you weren't supposed attack while the tail's up) I completely rejected it. After seeing on my shelf a few months later I felt a bit ungrateful so gave it another chance and haven't been able to let go of it since. Like you said, it really defined my childhood, my view of gaming and opened my eyes to a new world of story telling. I have to admit I have concerns with the idea of it being episodic and the (rumoured) changes to the story but having seen this teaser, I'm still pretty excited about it.
