You mentioned that you want to open a bookstore at some point. I get that! I am entering the last decade of my full time working life, and I have a dream of working part time in a lovely local bookshop as a post-retirement job. Just a couple of days a week or 3 or 4 half days. I’d love that so much! Along with more travelling, it’s something I’d just love to do in a few years time. 📖✈️
What a shop to end on!!! That is definitely my favorite of the many beautiful shops you've featured in this series! Thank you for sharing! I hope you will do a Series Two!
Beth, so cool, I used to live in St Albans-now I’m up North-this was a delight to watch-thank you!!! But come to Manchester there’s an amazing bookshop called 'House of Friends and Books'-its mission also includes community schemes to bring reading to everyone and to help prevent loneliness. A second one is in Bramhall called ‘Simply Books’ which has won Independent Bookshop of the year and even even runs a pop up cinema in the village. It’s the hub of the reading community in Stockport. Just some ideas! Happy to show you round!
I loved this vlog. I've always wanted to have my own bookstore as well. Please don't stop this series. I'm living vicariously through your visits to these bookshops and hearing about so many books I never heard about.
I really hope you continue this series next year?! It was such a fun way to see new bookstores, although I’ll never get to visit any; I really enjoyed seeing them all🥰
