Thanks for the review. I imagine the reason that the app is only available on the parents phone is because the watch is designed for 8 to 10 year old, and most parents wouldn't consider letting a 10 year old have their own mobile phone
So disappointed, bought the watch but the app is not available to download from my country (even tried VPN, but no joy. Without the app, I cannot even set the time screen, so totally useless to me.
@@SmartwatchLabs In Laos. I bought the watch from Thailand. I contacted Garmin support and got a very quick response from them. Unfortunately was unable to solve the problem on any of our devices, but then used an old cellphone and for some reason managed to find and download the app. :) ??? who knows why. So thank you , I now have it working, but need to keep this separate phone operational to keep it functioning.
@@benswanepoel i have 2 android phones and each one has a different gmail account which was setup with different countries, sometimes the one in the US will let me install apps that are not in the other one, maybe this is the case for you. Regards

I was hoping to set multiple water reminders as chores to remind my little one to drink water through the day & in such a case it would be useful to have silent reminders even during school hours.

I'm looking to get a watch for my bedroom, but my bedroom is really dark. Is there a watch you can recommend at all for dark bedrooms? It's just to see the time that's all. 👍

Just bought the watch it seems stuck on timer mode I can’t get out. How do I figure out how to get out of that mode?
Are we sure it's 5atm? The box says swim friendly and the site just links to a water rating site. I thought swim friendly meant 30mins at max 1 meter

Good question. I haven't come across any silent mode. Just don't set alarms for that period. We haven't had issues with school use.

Do you know how to perform a Hard/Factory Reset? I am trying to remove my son and family information
Tried googling it but its not quite clear. I would try taking the battery out for 10mins and see if that does the trick.

The display has a backlight and the brightness can't be changed. The display is better visible the more outside light you have

Sorry it doesn't. With that coin cell battery that lasts for a long time one can't really do gps or wrist based heart rate monitoring

Ice = in case of emergency. So for example if your child gets lost the watch has a phone number for someone to call to.

That's correct the brightness can't be changed. The display is designed to be best viewed in sunlight
