  • MY 30TH BIRTHDAY SPECIAL.
    Filmed 2018-20 by iPhone.
Since 2001, the Black Hills Central has operated number 110, a 2-6-6-2T mallet built by Baldwin in 1928. However, there was a need for another steam locomotive to help with operations. In 2016, the Black Hills Central purchased number 108 from the Northwest Railway Museum in Washington State. 108 is another 2-6-6-2T mallet and sister locomotive to 110. Restoration on 108 lasted four years and in 2020, it moved under its own steam for the first time. In this video, you will see 110 in regular operations from 2018-19, whether it's sunny or cloudy and wet. For 108, you will see two videos of its test run, regular operations, and a double header with its sister 110.
A thanks goes to my mother for taking a video of the double header as I was on the train working.
    Enjoy the video.
