My sister used to live in the club that Calvin mentions in regards to Pete Best and his mother that The Beatles played in a lot in the early days.. I's called the The Casbah Club. The table in her living room was the table The Beatles signed there first record contract on and John, Paul, George and Pete had carved there names into the woodwork. One time she told me she opened up the curtains in the morning before she'd thrown any clothes on and right outside was a coach load of Japanese tourists haha!
