    I am team blown-out glow-y core! At least when shooting this wide. I do like a detailed trapezium shot too, but usually only if it's a more extreme close-up (1000mm f.l. +)

    Fantastic videos. You Gotta love astronomy. I'm still at the beginner stages, and watching these videos are inspirational. Astronomy is one of them things you have to do slowly, from the ground up. So many adventures to go! Keep putting out videos and we'll keep watching!

    Great tutorial, Helena! I never knew you can use the GAME script for the core of Orion, but I'm still no expert with PixInsight 🙈. Your final image came out pretty good.

    Ive never been able to figure out blending layers in photoshop before! thanks! Actually 75% of my photoshop skills have come from your earlier PS workflow videos. Most tutorials gloss over small points that they assume you know, and thats where Id get lost. I appreciate that you explain everything and its been a huge help to improving my photos

    Nice job Helena! - I'd usually been using gradually smaller rangemasks to perform the same sort of thing, but I'll have a look into the game script now too as another tool!

    Absolutely loved it Helena!!, The HDR pixinsight rendering that lowered the background brightness (nebulosity) was soo soooo good, gonna try it out!!!!

    Nice thanks for sharing Helena 😁👍I caught a phasar last year on my infrared camera right by Orion's nebula. At least that's what I'm told it was lol. 😁✌

    Small thing: there is a way to balance your audio in a video editor, right now the audio is only to my left. Is it just me or are other people also hearing this?

      Thank you Marc! I never regretted jumping from Photoshop to Pix. Some of the skills are even transferrable! I never only use one though, there are still some processes Pix cannot provide that I switch to Photoshop for :)

    Love your work; keep it up! I do admit my eyes glaze over every time you you talk pixinsight. I prefer a different suite of programs for processing.

      Thank you! I've got to admit, even I find it daunting. Over the next few months, I'll be focusing in on other editing programs too, so I am covering a variety of what people use. :)

    Nice channel. I always liked looking at the night sky.A quick question: I found 2 telesopes for sale in my country: F30070 and 70AZ Gazer. Are they good telescopes or are they just overpriced toys? I do own a binacular and I use it often, but I also like a good telesope😁

      I dont recommend them because they have small (70mm) apature and you wont see much, go for a dobsonian with atleast 6inch in apature (150mm) or more

      Thanks Dylan! It is an excellent programme, so powerful too! I think it is super that you are using Photoshop first. I found a lot of the skills there to be transferrable to Pix! I would recommend to always keep both when you do manage to make the purchase. I find that there are processes I still like to carry out in PS that I can't do in Pix :)

    Dear Helena, thank you for your great videos. I came across you by chance when I was looking for reviews of Skywatcher telescopes. Keep up the good work!
    I'm not sure if you didn't mention it, but wouldn't it make more sense to create an HDR yourself by combining different exposures (e.g. stacked 30s, 60s, 120s) in Photoshop and then doing a final edit?

      Thank you! There are multiple ways to do it and yours is another brilliant one. I used HDR Multiscale in Pix and then moved onto blending them in Photoshop. Either way, it works if you do it all in Photoshop!

    You are my hero and I admire you very much. I am a teacher and I had a student last year who likes astronomy. In my country, Colombia, there are few resources to promote this beautiful science. I am saving to buy an unrefrigerated deep sky astrophotography camera because my salary limits the purchase to one of 1,000 dollars. Which one do you recommend me buy?

    Hi there I liked those effects and yes I do like the blown out look better too , technology has come a long way and surprisingly in reach of individuals these days have you done many long exposures of the moon ? Thanks was interesting.

      Hi Paul! It has taken a few years to build up an understanding for this hobby. There are still many terms I cannot define, and I have hardly touched on post processing. The main thing to remember, is you are in charge of your own journey and the pace you take it at! Never stop asking questions, and check out other astro RUclips channels. There are some great tutorials out there! Sometimes having a visual on something makes it easier to understand. We are here to help!

    Wait!, you processed Orion nebula, not edited. Processing is used for little bit more time taking things, such as for astro, (some time for video processing, but usually editing). Editing is use for little bit time taken as usual such as photo editing, video editing, etc.

    Is the bressier 10" dobson just a waste of time ? i mean , we can never get any deep space images with it right.... so why waste like 700 dollars on it instead of getting a deep space scope? anyone ?
