I've been looking to get into finger drumming. Top view of your performance looks like a magician is handling the mk3. Very nice. If you could do a tutorial about how you practice finger drumming, it'd be very helpful.
Hey there, Thank you for this positive comment ;) Yes my next video will be about how i started practicing finger drumming, and ill also include some free samples that you can use ! Stay tuned for more ;)
When i try to sample my files, i could not go to the option "edit" and "slice", do you know what i have to changes in my settings, thanks and sorry for my english
Great video. Very helpful. Just bought a MK3 as my first ever Maschine and stuff like this is a huge help in a steep learning curve. Subscribed and looking forward to more.
So smooth the way you trigger the samples while maintain a rhythmic drum beat. I can finger drum good drum patterns but have a hard time incorporating the samples. Awesome video.
Bro that's awesome! You just made me realize sth; Prepping a set for a professional gig would simply be: Producing everything upfront, then loading it into the Maschine and that's basically it? I always wondered how Araabmusic for example made everything sound like it was produced and recorded altogether. Is there a way to actually make that happen, including side chaining and everything that is needed for a perfect mix, so that the live drum session sounds like the mastered version? Thanks a ton for your work! I appreciate you
Love to see stuff like this, I want to do more sampling/finger drumming but most producers are (rightly) secretive of their technique, and I've had a tough time getting the hang of it.
"And now we're ready to jam!" proceeds to play a super complex chop pattern with drums 😭 btw curious was valerie simpson song that is? I should know it but I'm trippin
Check out "Melodics". Its a software that helps teach you finger drumming. It works to a similar fashion in the way Guitar Hero did but its just for finger drumming on 16 pad controllers. I think you'll enjoy it.
Dope work! this is great, im starting to get into finger drumming so its good to see this stuff. Thanks! Also, how did you get the Maschine MK3 before ir'd dropped? Is it already released where your from?
How do I get to polyphony I don't see it on the sample page and when I hit sampling my page does not look like yours does with sampling in the right screen
Hi there, really helpful video. One question, when you duplicate across you seem to be doing a shift/mute before duplicate? What are you doing there please?
He's just making the sample stop, I think. I'm pretty sure shift/stop does the same thing. Maybe one stops everything and the other stops the last pad you hit, idk...
Went a little fast for me .. how do you go step by step from bringing the samples into one group and then proceeding to add drums so they don't overlap?
Hey Man, I have maschine MK1 and I can't add drums to my sliced samples.. Do you push Duplicate first, them the drum pad; release the duplicate button, then press the group that has the samples? I am sorry, but it is not working for me. Please help. Thanks
Thanks man for your quick response.. I'm going to try again when I get home... But I'm having issues copying the drums into empty pads where the sliced sample are. thanks again..
Either i open Maschine as a plugin in Abletone , or i record the Master Channel in a new Group in Maschine sampler , Ill make a video about that too ! ;) Hope this helps
True, but to some extent you want to leave some room for final edits later on. Anything with more of a swing needs some space to breath or the beat will sound very robotic. I suppose if you're finger drumming that's less of an issue as you need the sample to just hit when you hit it, but I can see how you wouldn't want to commit straight away. I'd agree it's not wise to 'waste' memory you could spend on FX and what not more, but with a modern PC you should have plenty (gigabytes vs megabytes of RAM on the old samplers).
It's not relevant nor true on a modern computer with Maschine. If you were on a older mpc it's a different thing. You couldn't just assign a sample to a multiple pads with different starting points, each time you would create a new actual file that took up space in the RAM, unless you worked around it by making the velocity of the pads control where the sample started which could be cool and effective for some purposes but the chops tended to get very inaccurate. On the Maschine when you duplicate the sample to another pad and change the start and end points it points to the same file but with different start and end point references if that makes sense. Actually, only when you truncate a sample does it create a new file which has to stay loaded in the RAM and takes up harddrive space, so it's the other way around.
If you have any questions regarding the video, maschine or sampling in general, feel free to ask, im glad if i can help ;)
shakazula7 hey could you do a tutorial on editing samples on Maschine and what you can and can't do
You can use a bunch of fx, pitch them cut them ,.. I ll make a video about that too , : D Thanks for watching :)

That's how is still do it with battery4. Didn't know maschine could do that too. Thanks man.
Thank you, glad i could share some info :)
Very useful video! Thanks for sharing! Would you also recommend the Mashine Mikro MK3?

Sean Madden thanks for the tip
That shit was fiiiiiiiiire!!!!!!!!! I would love to learn how to do that, would you teach me?? I'm dead serious??
Where do you usually go to get tracks to sample??
Great explanation man.
Hey, I wanted to ask you, where do you find these samples and how do you choose them?
Please please please do a tutorial on that drum pattern at the end you did
akai mpc live and you dont need tutorials
@@SakuseiMaking why
So you layered the actual drums on the same pads as the samples? That way when you trigger the sample you also trigger the drums, correct?
Shaka Shaka Shaka!
Dope work! this is great, im starting to get into finger drumming so its good to see this stuff. Thanks! Also, how did you get the Maschine MK3 before ir'd dropped? Is it already released where your from?

I think you have a problem with using slice mode, try chopping up the sample manualy like i show it in this video . Hope this helps ;)
Thanks man for your quick response.. I'm going to try again when I get home... But I'm having issues copying the drums into empty pads where the sliced sample are. thanks again..
Go to zone drag the sample zone to C3 instead of C-3 okay
How are u setting the end points of each chop? Or does it not matter since they are cutting each other off?
Nice!
Thanks ;)
fire bro lawddddd
how do you get ge sample to play without keeping for finger on the button???
Hey Bro, stumbled across your channel. Love the tunes. What vinyl is this sample taken from? Respect
my brain cant handle finger drumming ;D
Start slow man, and you will see the improvement ;)
I have problems with the left_right coordination
I couldn't either, I practiced everyday till I learned to separate them. Like playing piano
Dope!!!
Thank you, more to come ;)
Would you happen to know why when i'm in edit mode and i have the sample already loaded on a pad it won't start playing when i press on it ?
Do you play drums over the samples (which has drums in it)?
Is it a common method.
What kind of cable do you use to sample?
HOW LONG YOU LEAVE THE SAMPLES 1-2 -3 BARS?
thanks man :)Peace !!!
No problem ;)
it was not easaly.hehe...
Like new maschine mk3
But Native Instruments hate me
:D Yeah , the new Maschine is awesome. And im sure Ni doest hate you :D haha
Lol I feel you homie
Andrey Papin why?
FICKUS BEATS Du bist auch überall, oder?
How do you sample/Record what is playing on your computer?
Either i open Maschine as a plugin in Abletone , or i record the Master Channel in a new Group in Maschine sampler , Ill make a video about that too ! ;) Hope this helps
shakazula7 please do! Thanks!
you are insaneeeeeeeeeee
The name of the sampled song?
Is it set adsr or one shot cuz

Hey guys this Jaques Ulla here
The Beach M A S T E R translator? 😄
This method of sampling eats a lot of memory if you dont truncate your samples.

@PHeMoX explained it perfectly ;)
You are absolutly right :)

I have a brand new MK3 and my own studio, pm me and we'll talk.
CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME THE NAME OF THE SAMPLE?
