    When I lived in Glastonbury, me and wife cleaned a theatre that’s haunted! We would get there at silly o’clock in the morning, no one but us was there, and we always heard doors slamming and lots of banging etc, and there are two resident ghosts we’ve seen in the Lowe auditorium several times - a gentleman that likes to sit 3 rows from the front, and there’s a lady ghost that’s always singing? They were not bad ghosts though, and we always said good morning to them when we cleaned back of house. Too bad the manager isn’t so nice. Lovely little video guys! Much love ❤

Would I sleep somewhere that is haunted? I have .. at my Gramps and Grandmother. We kids never saw anything, but both my Grandparents saw the resident 'ghost' regularly. My late Mother-in-Law too .. used to see an old Lady sitting in a corner chair in the Lounge. And more ..
    Ghosts / the Witching Hour .. when the Tarp blows off at 05h00 in the morning 😁.

    I have seen more than my fair share of ghosts throughout my life, starting when I was four years old, in bed, with disembodied green glowing hands with black veins going for my feet. I felt something, so I lifted my duvet and saw them.

      @GarethZoeWildcamps  Год назад +2

      Weirdly I have seen a green (almost scale like, like a dragon) arm / hand come out of the wall next to my bed as a child and reach for my legs. After a while I put it down to a bad dream. I also have known of people who dream whilst conscious and sometimes see whatever a dream could imagine. Weird ol' world innit!

    I have been told by two lads, both said they are just shadows, but nothing is there to make the shadow, from what i have been told. I never saw anything like that, yet. But where i used to work a few people have seen them, one lad even saw someone go into the boiler room. He was the only one down that end of the warehouse at the time. He ran like hell up the top end of the warehouse, and was told that the place was haunted anyway. Would he hell go back down there on his own after that experience. Another one was someone had died, in the reception, and one xmas, the alarms went off, Police and managers met on in the car park, and went into the place. Found nothing, went into the canteen to fill some paper work out. Then they heard a noise coming from the end of the corridor, where reception was, they said some ones here. Light was on and a computer was on, and the keyboard going 90mph with a load of garbage on the screen. Also another one, in a pub. Which was a bad one supposedly, which would explain why a lot of people had many barneys in there , Pub is now gone and a supermarket is on the site now, so no doubt customers will be fighting in there too.

    Random question. My partner and I are out in the wild quite a lot. she suffers from COPD and a few other conditions. So we can't hike as far. We tend to boat camp. Our problem is our tent. It's near 6kg. I've seen you in the opulus 3. Ok I'll get to the point. We have the Avon dlx3 by Eurohike. We switched out the poles for 9mm DAC poles. It's warm and bomb proof. Over 200 nights in it. How would you rate the opulus 3. Will it cope in winter. She has been nagging me to pull the trigger on it as I'm the pack horse carrying the 35kg pack. ( On a good day) I'd say more like 50kg with water.😂🤣😂. Cash is tight. So would you recommend the switch. Also any advice on cutting pack weight on a budget. Bags are down. So not there🤷🤣😂

    • @GarethZoeWildcamps
      @GarethZoeWildcamps  Год назад

      Wow that's heavy! What the hell do you take!? The Opalus has been out on loads of stormy winter camps with snow, heavy wind and rain. It's always held up beautifully. It's definitely our best 'all rounder'. We're not sure what you carry to make things so heavy but a water filter will save you a few kg from not having to carry water.

      @@GarethZoeWildcamps Looked at the grayl ultrapress. As she hates tasting anything in water. @ £30 for the filters after 150l I just can't.Chairs, naturehike yl05, Stanley even heat cook set, (she loves proper meals.), Exped dura 8r m mats, tent as I've said. DD 4x4 tarp, Hikeman tarp poles, 4 Aldi adventure ridge trekking poles,( by far better than our trekoligy ones) DD hammock not to sleep in just lounging lol. 4 2700mah power banks. Her clothes.(easy 10kg🤣) Also msr whisperlite and 2 fuel bottles. Primus multifuel (silly loud). Food and other small items. I guess our issue is the weight can't be split, as she had marine tb a few years ago and had most of one lung removed. leaving very bad scar tissue on one side can't carry a pack even at 5kg. Also getting over MTN so is breathless all the time. (Be easier to trade her in,😂🤣😂 kidding. So I carry it all.🤦.

    • @GarethZoeWildcamps
      @GarethZoeWildcamps  Год назад +1

      Yeah that kit list can be cut down massively really. Home cooked meals can be prepared at home too, meaning less cookware and fuel to prepare stuff. The water we filter never has a taste tbh, not like chlorinated tap water. Certainly could be halfed weight wise. Just think 'do I really need that item or could I manage without'. Weight saving is ALWAYS about compromise on some level. The compromise for us is tiny as we hate unnecessary weight as it can ruin a trip (and your posture eventually too!). If you always camp via canoe then the weight isn't really an issue too much thankfully.

    As for your tarp fail, possibly due to turbulance created by the wind being forced over a static object aka walls, giving the same effect as the washing maching effect you get under waterfalls, wiers etc, would deffo lift tarp and pull pegs 🤗

      @@GarethZoeWildcamps Lol rather you than me. In the Lake District there are what's called coffin roads. Way back in the past it's where the dead were carried on a cart to a graveyard. One day I was hiking and part of it was through a woodland down one of these coffin roads. A mans voice walked right past me sort of singing tum-ti-tum-ti-tum. I could hear his voice coming closer, walking within what sounded a foot away and carried on down the path from where I had come.
      My partner was a little way behind me and she thought it was me talking to her. We didn't feel scared or threatened or anything because the voice sounded happy and friendly. Still though, I really wouldn't like to hear it in the pitch black while camping on top of a fell lol.

      @@GarethZoeWildcamps They are generally marked on maps. Can also be called corpse roads. If you google either coffin or corpse road/route in Cumbria you will find maps of them. Sometimes they just look like regular narrow hiking paths so you wouldn't know you were walking on one unless you... erm... knew. I know sounds obvious now I've written it down lol.
