    Pretty tame camping. Come on over to Canada, try some winter camping at 30c below. Lots on RUclips.

      @GarethZoeWildcamps  Год назад +12

      We can't help the flipping weather! What a moronic thing to say! 🤣 Please send us a link to all the videos of you personally camping in these conditions? You should try coming over to the UK and camping in 40C temperatures. You won't be so cocky then 🤣 Cold is easy, you just take warmer kit (that's why there's loads of videos on RUclips!). It doesn't take the brains of Einstein 😏

      Why? Why is it tame if it's not below freezing? I hate camping in the cold.

      Some people feel like they have to 'prove' something. Maybe to overcompensate for a small trouser department maybe or an unhappy marriage 🤔. There was us thinking camping was supposed to be something enjoyable and a time to relax....

    if a public footpath is blocked please inform the Council in charge of those - and the Ramblers association! Even if you are not a member I am sure the Ramblers association will look into the matter as well. The issue comes when some paths are permissive by the landowner and are negotiated with the councils. It saves the landowner having people trampling everywhere trying to get from A to B. My Uncle had a small farm in Yorkshire many years ago - with a public footpath in the middle of his fields. He was cross with everyone wandering around his sheep field. I pointed out that people are sheep, and if he cut the grass and formed a path where the footpath is marked on the maps, people would follow it faithfully. I was right!!

      How rude of you, saying people are sheep. By the sound of it, he made a path and people out of respect followed that path. Without an hint of a path, people are bound to trample everywhere.

    By the looks of the fence, the height of it would suggest it's to keep out animals and not humans. And probably to stop deer if in the area, destroying the trees, including flora and fauna as they can easily jump a normal height fence.

    • @GarethZoeWildcamps
      @GarethZoeWildcamps  Год назад +5

      It's definitely a deer fence. But the thing is, we saw 2 herds of deer stuck on either side on 2 separate occasions. So it's clearly not working as intended.

    Just kick down the barrier. I was wanting to use a public footpath but it was totally overgrown with vicious out of control brambles from the field next to it. But then there was a path in the field that everyone had clearly been using instead, so I used that, then signs appeared telling me to keep out. I was tempted to replace them with my own signs about their neglect causing injury hazards, but love demanded I put on some shoes and gloves and cut away all the brambles, rolling them back over the fence instead. It was a nice project, I enjoyed it. :)

    I'd definitely be reporting that farmer for that. As for a sweaty back, I'm the same, even in winter. I looked at the osprey but because i hate my Aether 70L (too uncomfortable for me) i went with the decathlon 60+10 which has almost same design for the back and i have to say, it works brilliantly well. I love the tarp a d bugnet set up, even better if any wildlife goes past.
