I use the A33 as a standby phone when travelling in dodgy areas, and it’s perfectly good enough. Even night time photos have been excellent. Mine was £240
I have the A53 5G. It is an extremely good phone and is one I would recommend in a heartbeat to anyone who's on a budget or wants an upgrade.
A52s 5G was a good choice.. compared to Exynos.. A52s 5G has Snapdragon 778G which gives you a tremendous experience
a52s is better than the a53..the only thing the a53 has over the former is a bigger battery capacity and newer software support
the a52s has a much more powerful chip than the a53 and has the 3.5mm jack as well

Got the A53 and it can play PS2 Games. It's better than my old Google Pixel 5, which is still a good phone as well

Samsung a53 isn’t really worth buying this year, all your get is punch hole (not really a spec upgrade, just looks) and 120 vs 90 hertz

That is true, Its better getting the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5g as it is cheaper with the same specs. Snapdragon 778g, 6gb ram, 120hz screen etc. It also has a headphone jack which the Galaxy A53 5g does not offer. All for a lower price. So I totally agree with you there that the Samsung Galaxy A53 5g is not really worth it this year.
A33 hasn't always on display and NFC support
performance is important to me, but the a53 is good, I rarely play games, but the cameras of super quality are important to me and the 120hz screen and top-end stereo and the a53 has it all, I'm happy and the a53 is much better than the a33 the a33 cameras are much worse

@@robyn_southafrica and are you satisfied with the Xaomi? I am also considering the redmi note 11 pro but I saw few videos saying the apps sometimes stop working on you. All over the redmi has good specs but not sure how reliable it is compared vs Samsung A33

7:35... I seriously doubt that they would underclock the phone. That would drive people to other companies and Samsung would be selling a better processor and spending money on it and making people's lives difficult for no reason.
Processors usually have differences. Some are better than others even if it's the same processor. This might have 1. been by chance or 2. they put the processors with some defects (but still acceptable) into the cheaper phone.
Underclocking would not make any sense.
I can't wait to change my Galaxy A50 that I used since April 2019 with Galaxy A53 this coming holiday 😍🧡🤤
I didn't use my phone for gaming because have Switch OLED for that, so Galaxy A53 will be enough to me for another 3 - 4 years
I think I'm gonna hold onto my shitty ass A50 till they drop the A34 and A54.

For me it's the A53
I don't want to pay $450 for an ugly black phone and third parties are all sold out or too risky.
My A52s smashes it , it has 778G and it gets 2800 multicore
My Apple a13 smashed that easily

@@louie.idkone apart from software support from Apple is a lot better and remains in place for longer than android. android has terrible software support.
@@shaneread3050 Samsung is giving 4 years software updates and 5 years security updates. That's not bad support at all.
Can you like actually test the phones with regular use like social media, web browsing, playing music and switching the apps etc. instead of repeating the specs that you can find anywhere

That is a great phone! Super amoled plus! Haven't seen that since the s2! Has the SD chip with a ridiculously great panel. I think it's better looking than a dynamic panel
Man if the a33 came with the phyiscal fingerprint sensor like on the a13 and a23 then it would have been a no brainer.
min 100 bucks more for 30Hz more and slightly better bezels and camera tho.. very difficult.
Let's hope Samsung doesn't mess up the A?4 series of phones.

A53 is a downgrade of A52. Scam don't buy. Just buy A52 and u get 8GB RAM & 256 ROM for less the price of A53 and fogot to mention that A52 is using Snapdragon 720 (which is better than exynos)

Much needed comparison
Thanks for this review. In Europe both phones are at almost the same price tag, the A33 is fez euro cheaper. In Europe go with A53 or evenbetter go with a52s cheaper and more powerful than both this devices.
Nah man in Germany the 33 is about 290 bucks and 53 about 390 bucks on discount atm.
Went with 53. The 33's nipple camera is a guy turn off.
I love my A53 5g. People say that it's slower than the a52s and they are right , but that doesn't mean it is slow. I have no problems watching videos with 15 or so apps open and when I game it runs just fine.

Not xiaomi tho every update there's almost always a bug.. i am from xiaomi group and i use xiaomi and i am experiencing bug so here I am going back to samsung cos their support on updates is what makes samsung good.. tho xiaomi can offer better overall specs but in the long run their system updates sucks , i think it's their tactic to do trash updates so people will buy another new xiaomi phone 😃
