@@DavidHodgesKU11 drill press - bandsaw - tablesaw - quite a few different accessories for each tool -- and yes $20,000 was an exaggeration - and a usable workshop
@@tgward313 Sure, he had a drill press add on and a hole saw for the drill. But you can do everything he did with those tools and no need for the shop. Forest for the trees my dude.
I really like the exceptionally brilliant design and build project! I agree with others in that it would have been nice to have known what the project was up front! Well-done!
This is a nice project. A few things: 1) Please do an intro and explain what you are going to build. I had to fast forward to even understand what you are making! 2) Please link to a measured drawing so those of us that want to make it, can. Other than that, it is a well-done video. Make those changes and I would subscribe.
You would need to use the exact fittings he's using if you want to go by his measurements but the principle is all one needs to know. Ie.Trace & cut diameters to the size of the fittings you are going to use (allow for grommets or rubber cuffs as he referred to them).
Nice cyclone dust removal build. I actually bought a Dust Deputy and like it. But your design proves equally good. To use either one of them with my table saw, I have to seal up all the open areas the saw has. And I haven't done that yet. Thumbs Up!
10, and I agree that doing things yourself not only give you a sense of pride, it also gives you more flexibility to build what you need, that could have been a rotating gate with 4 to 6 inlets
Very sleek and effective. I over engineer things for fun and they dont really serve much purpose. Wood is not always cheap, but. Pallets are free all the time if you know the right people. The crafting community seems to be pretty awesome about sharing knowledge and ideas and in some cases materials that dont really serve a purpose and would be burned or thrown away. 10 for craftsmanship and seeing a problem and building a solution. Materials last their life time. Ability and experience last your lifetime. Unless you make a video and share the knowledge. Boom another lifetime
When using holes saws, try blowing compressed air onto the hole saw itself to prevent the wood from burning. It drills better, faster, saves the hole saw, and your finished product looks better. I like to use a Loc-Line setup so I don’t have to hold it. Hope this helps. Also works great for cutting and routering/machining aluminum and/or other non-ferrous materials Nice job on this by the way.
Just adds more hoses to trip over in the shop. When you're through with a project, sweep the floor. When the table saw starts running out in the floor, vacuum it out. Same with the joiner.
Yes you could buy a readymade version but where’s the fun in that? Great design and if it’s done with recycled materials, you’re doing your part for the planet. 😊
Figured it out very early. Quality build but maybe overkill and a little small overall. Enjoyed the good video and quality work rate it 10 out 10 but unlikely to go to the trouble of building as I just swap my vac to whatever major tool I'm using.😮
Well done production. ! No annoy music ,commentator was easy on the ears. LOL. . Camera work was great ! Hope you make enough money on this to get yourself a 3 D printer.. and expand your tool portfolio. ! Cheers. ! To you and future projects ,coming out of your shop ! Have. A. FUN. DAY. !!
I give it a ten out of ten for ingenuity and craftsmanship, but to be honest unless you have unlimited time on your hands, it would make much more sense to just spend $50 and buy one!
Sawdust vacuum, pretty cool. Overhead outfit would cost a bunch. My neighbor spent a bunch to have his saws and vacuum installed for his basement woodshop.
Excellent construction work - I especially liked your little router setup: but not ten bucks, despite what another commenter said, not unless you have most of the pieces already laying around. Pretty complicated for what it does (Are you an engineer?) Anyway, I liked it. #7.
Top notch job, you could probably source one for a few $s, however nothing beats making your own and using it!! 10/10. Where did you source the rubber grommet's from, a link would be helpful 👏👏
A fascinating video but what is the point of the device when you could have a single connection and simply empty the barrell when the barrell's full and then reconnect the hose?! How long would that take? !
Great concept and craftsmanship as always with such videos but again always requiring way too many tools, careful planning and attention to detail for a ok but basic product. Misleading title.
Had me guessing the entire video, all the way until you brought out the shop-vac. "It well that's an interesting switch mechanism, what's it switching? It can't be fluid with a wooden gate. That pipe is so big, it definitely can't be fluid. Grain maybe? Can't be for HVAC can it? No it's not insulated, the gates are too small, and I can't figure a use for that for air conditioning. A keg now? No no it can't be for alcohol, the gates are too big and there's no way this is food gr-OOOOHHH! THAT'S GORGEOUS!
Good gizmo. But REALLY? Who would bother ...well done anyway. I gave up after 5 mins .wouldnt it be easier just to buy an extractor thinger? BUT I bet you enjoyed making it😊
Where did the $10 come in? With all the "extra" stuff needed, I'm thinking a heck of a lot more without included 5 - 6 hours of time. I simple dust separator would cost $60. Great invention reworked.
Hi, how do you like the idea and how I executed it?
Rate it from 1 to 10. It's important to me)
I'd call it a 7. It's a pretty neat idea to rig up a pre-filter like that.
I'm an amateur, not qualified to rate it numerically, but I rate the idea and your workmanship "wow!!!"
I find your content very useful
Nice workmanship and details. However it's a bit complicated for the average woodworker. It's easier just to switch the hose than to make this.
No question about it i have worked in a factory making garden Sofas tables and chairs and i would so mutch like to have your deveice insted of changing all the time so for that it is an easy 10 out of 10 ❤

There should be a way to skip to the last seconds of the video.
On my laptop I just skip to the last 30 seconds.
@@jacqueslemon Figure it out. Ask one of the seven year olds in your neighborhood to help you.

What a god damned waste of time!!👎
great planning and execution -- good project if i had the $20,000 worth of equipment
My first thought after seeing the "10$" price.
Yup
You can make great ten dollar items with a complete shop.
He used a router, a grinder, and a hand drill...

Cool design, but that would cost way more than $10.00 to build.
But 10dollers is nothing compared to damage to the lungs, money is nothing compared to health
It would have more interesting if the title of the video explained wtf was being made!
But that way you might not watch to the end and they wouldn't get "full credit!"
I still don't know what it is 😂😂
5/10. And I hate videos that don't say upfront what the product is.
New title: "Homemade dust extractor"
Needs a new cover photo, too.
I rate the idea a 10, and your execution a 10. This is pretty cool!
Cool but I think I'll just use the vacuum on it's own.
I really like the exceptionally brilliant design and build project!

For those of us who don't need the final product, it would have been friendly to put a description in the title.

10 out of 10, brilliant design and construction.
Thank you for appreciating my work so much!
And let’s not forget that it’s $10 only if you already have all of the necessary tools, which I’m guessing most folks don’t.

Very cool and ingenious! $10 to build as long as you have $10,000.00 worth of equipment
Could do it with $500 in tools. The plywood was probably $10, but the elbows and rubber gaskets were over $100.
And more

Just make yourself an adapter to go on top of your regular wheelie bin, lemon squeezy. It can be used for everything, wet or dry.
$10 if you have about $100 worth of stuff. Still very clever and well done.
At least in Europe it ist impossible to get the material used in this project for 10€.
