Hispano Suiza Alfonso XIII: the first sports car in history

The Hispano Suiza Alfonso XIII is recalled to this day as one of the most memorable and influential vehicles in Hispano Suiza's 120 years of legacy.
It was the first sports model of the company and considered by many the first sports vehicle in history. It originally received the name T45 due to its 45 HP engine. But the Spanish monarch Alfonso XIII saw the power and competitive efficiency of the T45, he was instantly in awe of the vehicle. Alfonso XIII's unwavering support to Hispano Suiza from then onward led to the T45 being renamed after him. And the rest is history.
