The size covered in this tutorial is size newborn. The finished measurements for this baby hoodie are:
Width of chest - 8” (20cm)
Length of sleeves - 5” (13cm)
Underarm to hem - 5 ½ “ (14cm)

In part one, I’ll show you how to crochet the yoke and the main body of the hoodie. Part two covers the sleeves, hood, edging and little bear ears.
This is an easy crochet tutorial and I’ll show you what to do step by step. You will need to be familiar with the following stitches:
ch(s) - chain(s)
hdc - half double crochet
sc - single crochet
sl st - slip stitch
sp - space

Hiya, I've been crocheting for a few years now, self taught using youtube, i've always wanted to make a baby jacket so i found this one, i love it! made for my chubby 4 month old baby grandson Brodie, i left the ears off as mum would like a small pom pom,

I have attempted to do this NUMEROUS times lol. Your instructions are very clear & I know I must be doing something wrong, but somehow on the 1st row, I always end up with more than the last 4 that’s left 🤦♀️

This is so cute and I just happen to have some Chenille yarn that I got it Dollar Tree that'll be perfect for this.
I'm now a subscriber since I just found your channel. I'll also be sending this video to my 10 yr old granddaughter who loves to crochet. If nothing else good comes out of covid quarantine it at least gave me the opportunity to teach her to crochet just like my mamaw taught me at around the same age. Its so rewarding seeing her choose what hook she wants to use as well as her cute little face when she askes "Grandma can I have this yarn to make something?" She asked me for a skein a few days ago that was earmarked for something but I just couldn't say no to that face and of course she now has it. I can always replace it when needed and I sure wouldn't want to do anything to cause her to loose her creative idea by refusing her. Shes so good about always returning my hooks to the proper place when finished. She has her own hooks but didn't have them with her the last time she was with me. Thanks for sharing this video and thanks for making it so detailed and nice and slow. I know she will be able to follow without even needing my help but she knows her old Grandma is always either right by her or just a video chat away.

I had, what I consider to be, the best grandma anyone could ever hope to have and promised myself, when I was still quite young, that I would try to be as good a grandma to my grandkids as she had been to me and my siblings. I thought to myself, if I could be even 1/2 as good at being a grandma as she had been then my grandkids would be lucky, especially considering how things have changed in the world just in my lifetime. Not many grandmas my age have the luxury of getting to help raise their grandkids due to work and other responsibilities. I'm able to have this time unfortunately due to a physical disability resulting from a fall at work in 1997. My grandkids are my life and I'm so lucky to have them around me most all the time.

Hello I've been working on this all day but when I get to the part for the three to six adjustment after row 7 it doesn't add up..all rows prior are proper stitch count is there an error on that section????????? Doing this for a baby shower in two weeks n baby is expected to weigh 10 pounds at birth which is why I choose 3-6 size

Unfortunately, you only had the sizes up to 3-6 months on the website. So I am trying to mathematically correct the pattern for a 12-15 month-sized Hoodie. Everything up until Row 7 has worked so far… so hopefully this will work 😭

You are amazing and I really appreciate how easy you make it to follow your videos, I’m going to make the hoodie in newborn size next but I realized that the yarn that I have is super bulky (6) not 5 like in your video. Should I use a larger hook?
This is such an easy tutorial and pattern to follow, but I seem to be getting ridges in my work!, I think it's from turning my work after each row? So decided to crochet the second sleeve in the round and my work is a lot smoother and stitches more uniform! Is there any way I can get the same effect whilst turning my work?

If you substitute with a different yarn you will need to make a small sample square and test your gauge / tension (you should always do this if you're using the recommended yarn also). Hey there love your channel thank you , I’m just wondering I’m doing the 3-6 months & at the end of row it says to half double crochet, I occasionally check back on the tutorial as I’m a beginner ,with the newborn pattern you don’t do the extra hdc ?( but the written pattern states a extra hdc at the end ) hope this makes sense.Thankyou💜🐞
