- G'day, filmed over a week, come alond for a journey up and down the Bruce Highway. We're back on the aluminium out of Boyne Island covering extra loads to fill a large export order. Theres plenty of road footage and a few nights in motels.
It's a truckie's life.

Marvellous video Pete. Really adored truckers from Australia. Sadly in my little Asian country we don't have such tough monstrous kenworth, mack, westernstar machines like you do. We just have the lowest volvo FMs, mostly UD and mitsubishi trucks...as our distances are not as much as yours.

Have you got any advice for someone who may want to get into driving trucks?
I think it’s like an apprenticeship, you have to do the crap jobs to learn what you need to know before you can get into the cream. Small steps. Every job has its downsides.

G’day, thanks for the comment. Yeah, the boss pays for all the accommodation. Joys of doing distance in a day cab.
Why day cabs only? Surely a sleeper, even one of those short arse ones KW do would be cheaper for the company in the long run.
G’day David, I’m not a regular on this run, I normally tow an A-double set which makes this truck the ideal length. When there is excess loads out of the smelter I get sent up the highway and stop in motel rooms.
