@@lehman most chokes don't hurt during a fight. Your adrenaline is high so it's literally, one second you're fine, next you're waking up and the doctors are checking on you.
Chuckled at the first tap thinking he probably didn't mean to do it so hard. Then the second one looks like he put as much force as he can muster from that position. LOL!
+Dominic Lobban He had to tap hard. Showing this technique means the choke around his neck is going to be tightened slowly and unless he wants to screw up the video he has to wait until its fully applied. As a result when the first time he can tap comes he will already have been in the choke for quite some time.
***** Look at that video. Look at Chad tightening the choke around his neck slowly gradually cutting of the blood flow to his head. That is very uncomfortable.
I think if you do the bicep variation, it's actually better to stay in mount position. If you do the regular grip as he did in this video, you should slide to side control. Not sure though, just something my coach said
RoZaxTheGreat I know what no striking means I wanted to know what they intending by saying NO STRIKING. I assumed they meant that the martial art was bad
Julian Haddad ah ok. yeh nah well idk imo, ive had a background in only striking arts, karate, tkd, muay thai, boxing, k1. then on my FIRST ever BJJ lesson (only went cos my striking lesson got cancelled at uni) i realised that ground arts are equal if not probably far more useful than striking arts. its actually so useful lol, really eye opening
I love the way this guy teaches, he leaves a few things out, granted that he's human like the rest of us and can forget, or some type of shortage of time, anyways, he doesn't leave most of it out and describes alot of what other people leave out, respect to this man for most videos on this kind of stuff, and for teaching so much in 2 mins!
awesome video. never done any jiu jitsu or grappling myself, but learned a lot from watching mma over the past 4-5 years and i know what to look for, but not knowing the actual technique. when you're snapping your fingers it makes it so much easier to follow and understand and i feel like i could pull this off(probably not). great video and so easy to get it your nutshell, thanks. and ofc i subscribed!! :D
simenhanssen I would suggest join a bjj gym. You think its easy by watching this but getting to the positions where you get the actual submissions are harder than the submissions themselves. Try getting to mount on someone who is resisting then you'll know. There's much more at play here. like if he doesnt slide his knee and instead just tries to swing it over he will get caught in a half guard and then goodbye to triangle.
Punch the side of the face you want the arm to be exposed, when they go to defend use that as your oppurtunity raise the hand/arm to the head(if we are talking MMA that is)
It's so interesting to watch his coaching points and how he explains his body positioning. As a wrestler, much of this is second nature to me. I know how to get it tight enough to make a guy tap but I wouldn't necessarily know how to explain it that well.
@@predatorkings3746 the reason why I'm asking is because when my friend taught it to me, he didn't pay attention to the fact that my arm was facing up, and it still had an effect
he's not taping out he's slapping out
punching out
Lmao Ikr, it feels like they have some beef
Lol it looks like the tap hurt more than the arm triangle itself!!
triangles don't really hurt, so probably
Henry Garcia triangles dont hurt they just suffocate you.
lehman lol
I know, he was smacking him hard asf😂
@@lehman most chokes don't hurt during a fight. Your adrenaline is high so it's literally, one second you're fine, next you're waking up and the doctors are checking on you.
This guy grounds and pounds with his taps
Fax that sound hit sound like it hurt
Lol
😭😭😭
That choke feels like your head is about to explode
😂😂
He should tap a bit harder to make sure the guy knows he is tapping..........
HairySCROTE haha I know right.
That picture tho xd
There is a miror at the top of the camera filming that
HAHAHAH went to the comments to see if anyone noticed
Lol! 🤣
That tap out be more effective than than the triangle lock itself
@@Erowens98 it's a joke...
😂😂
ive never seen someone tap so hard.
that's a savage tap out
Chuckled at the first tap thinking he probably didn't mean to do it so hard. Then the second one looks like he put as much force as he can muster from that position. LOL!
Every comment is literally about the tap😂😂😂
hahahaha ikr
lmao funny how people didnt take a sec to realize everyone is pointing out the samething
Juan Ramos I came to the comment section about the taps lmaooo
he almost died there
This video should be called "How to tapout like a man"
You don't tap, that's how a man taps
+Dominic Lobban He had to tap hard. That guy can just pull his arm out and reverse it. I like to see another one
osamabindrinkin40s Come on. Pro fighters who know this technique and the proper way to defend against it have been choked out like this.
you can tell it works when your partner taps like he's going to break your back...
I see people grab their own bicep as a grip variation as well.
Also does that guy hit a heavy bag to practice his tap outs? Jesus...
I think if you do the bicep variation, it's actually better to stay in mount position. If you do the regular grip as he did in this video, you should slide to side control. Not sure though, just something my coach said
Thats a kimura
😂
flyingapple052 isn’t a kimura grabbing your own wrist tho
@@avegaughtastiffy1654 this is an arm triangle
2:15 -> "Maybe I can knockout him with the taps"
Rene taps violently, lol
Lol exactly what I thought
XD LOLLO XD THATS FUNNY HAHAHA LOL XD
This must be the hardest tap I've ever seen yet!
IM SO HAPPY I WASNT THE ONLY ONE WHO FOUND THE TAPPING HILARIOUS 😂😂😂
*Slapping
EXTREME TAPOUT!!!!
Thats the hardest tap I've ever seen jesus, seems like he's compensating
These guys are good teachers. They always explain things so clearly. Keep up the good work!
I would be so pissed if my training partner tap that HARD!! LAMO
lmao i wasnt the only one who thought he tapped hard
The arm triangle is my favorite submission. I have been learning it and now I can finally use it correctly. Thank you
And what about the tap technique?
Islam Makhachev probably watched this one
Most people just show how to do the choke, it is really cool that you show the super fine details. That's what I need
yeah... remember there is NO STRIKING in jiu jitzu!! hahahah
+Julian Haddad no punching or kicking or kneeing or elbows etc. it's grappling only. Very similar to wrestling
RoZaxTheGreat I know what no striking means I wanted to know what they intending by saying NO STRIKING. I assumed they meant that the martial art was bad

Just a guess but he might be referring to the tap
@HairySCOTE this submission is common in ufc moron
I'm a Muay Thai fighter but when I tried BJJ I loved it too..It's sooo interesting n smart moves..amazing 👌👌👌
He taps so hard...
Why am I going to Howcast for BJJ...?
LMAO
I'm here because I Googled "How to tap properly"
Finally a comment about anything other than the tap

What happened to this series
That tap was personal.
This is my favorite martial art teacher.
UFC 280 time to learn that choke
Scrolled down to the comments before the video started... Never been so excited to see how someone taps
Howcast always finds the most hilarious instructors.
Here after Islam vs Oliviera fight

I was more concerned about his back than the other guy getting choked out

If you would have joined you'd already be a purple belt doin all sorts of triangles for all sort of limbs
oh man, all here after ufc280
That wasn't a tap, he was trying to do combat jiu jitsu
This guy watched the Ryan Hall dvd on arm triangles. I can tell because he copies the snap ryan does to demonstrate. Respect.
I like that you show how to get to the choke, not only the choke.
Thumbs up.
Charles DoTap Oliviera got me here
Here after Islam Makhachev used this on Charles Oliveira. That's crazy
Who's here after Islam's win?
I'd say anyone here after 22 October 2023 would technically be after
came here after Charles' lose 🥲
He tapped almost as hard as Connor
The move Makhachev finish Olivera
Can we next learn how to make submit people with that power tap?
Who's here after Islam vs oliveira?

Haha Chad looks so young here! If you want to see what Chad has been up to these days, he’s on our channel doing martial arts fight scene breakdowns!
I thought Chad looked familiar on your guys channel, I watched this video about 2 years ago while I was having trouble with the arm triangle.
HEYYYYYYYY SCENIC FIGHTS
The bottom guy is the best tapper ever 😂😂
Who is here after UFC 280?
What a great submission move.
This Chad guy's pretty good, should probably start a channel where he reviews and explains MMA moves from movies and anime
I didnt really think this was dangerous submision when I watch Makhachev Submitted Oliveira, until I tried it to my wife...
Hell of a tap you got there brotha
If you're here in 2022 after the islam and oliveira UFC fight you're a legend
I’m here because Islam Makhachev #1 P4P Lightweight Champ

This what Islam did to Oliviera last night

I came here after Islam vs Oliveira fight.
Islam submitted Olivier with an arm triangle choke and got the LW belt in UFC.
Really clear instruction, thanks.
This guy's tapping game is strong.

looked in the comments to make sure I wasn't tripping about the tap
What a tap men! Impressive !
Great explanation

That was how Islam Makhachev (Sambo Champion) submitted Charles Oliveira (The King of Submisssion of UFC) @ UFC280 🤣😂

Should make a video on how to tap.
After islam makachev fight,im here to know what arm chok is☺️☺️
UFC 280 🗿
2:16 my man had a PANIC attack 😂
with the rorion gracie finger snapping
At 0:52 why does the choking arm have to be palm down? Is there a particular reason?
in my opinion if ur palm up it does no effect, or u can try it with ur friend if u curious (sorry for my bad english)
