- We're putting the final touches on our DIY & custom marble fireplace makeover! We've taken our existing brick fireplace completely transformed it. We built out a new framed wall in front of the existing, faced it with marble (dolomite), and built a custom wood mantel. Let us know what you think of our completed fireplace project!

random question but was it difficult to remove the crown molding up against the ceiling in this room? I noticed in the before/after it's taken down! I don't like my crown molding but not sure if it'll tear up all the drywall taking it down
Good catch! This is something we did when we first moved in. It wasn’t that difficult to remove, we ended up sanding the drywall across the walls & ceiling to diminish any line from removing the crown.
