If the US Amazon site sends the wrong item to NZ the customer has to pay to ship it back

I'm not sure what you mean when you say there's no Amazon, I just bought something from Amazon last week. If the seller is located overseas, then I don't think it makes much difference if the website ends in .nz or not. Also it's weird to expect that there would be a NZ Amazon, I don't go to America and expect there to be a US TradeMe. Obviously different countries are going to have different things.
I believe she mentioned that technically you can buy from Amazon but you pay for the shipping. It’s not really the same. Perhaps she did not explain this well enough, and I most likely am doing no better.

Moved to NZ from the UK where we had Amazon. At first it was weird now I love it. I manage quite well without all the “stuff” I used to buy that I really didn’t need. 😊
