The worst part about the LEGO Batman 2 movie is I that think it inspired the Ratchet & Clank movie to use the same format, just the cutscenes of the 2016 game with barely any added scenes.
to be fair the whole year of 2005 bionicle was a bit of an afterthought. the prequel arc was originally only going to last a single year but they put so much work into developing metru nui that they decided to tack on a second year to get as much as they could out of that world.
38:04 I also really like this version of Harley Quinn. I hope whenever DC inevitably makes the next Batman show or movie that the next version of Harley is similar to this one ( and mean like a semi sane co criminal to Joker who tries to be his partner in crime and sorta his therapist)
- Bionicle: Web of Shadows(2005) is a certified Halloween classic -The LEGO Movie 2 is nothing more than a mountainload of wasted and lost potential, and the only good thing to come out of it is that it indirectly got me into Bionicle
Bionicle's main thing was that it was a multi media franchise, even before the Legos came out. The main story bits that weren't explained were in the comics, and that's why we didn't see it in WoS. Also Vakama's established character fits perfectly for a manipulated villain and that is why he became the antagonist. Also Keetongu was a legend so it makes sense for him not to do much. Overall I rate all the bonkle movies 9/10 MoL, 8/10 LoMN, 10/10 WoS, and 9/10 TLR.
To be fair you discussed prep time Batman which seemed to be the main focus of parody for the Lego Batman movie, comics Batman does have all those interesting and intricate character traits and faults that get explored
My problem with Legend Reborn is that the books set up all the lore on how this society fails to be peaceful, only for Mata Nui to show up who brings the people bigger guns and a oversimplied view of black and white. It could have focused more on the problems of uniting the villages and abolishing the Glatorian system, but I get it's easier for children to see glowing swords go brr on Skrall hordes. Also Mata Nui does the one thing that gets Vakama almost killed in Bionicle 3 and goes alone to save his friends. When Vakama does it it's idiocy, when Mata Nui does it it's heroism.
I still say that it made more sense for Vakama to be the one to turn evil and not Matau Like just think for a moment, why would Matau join Roodaka? He wants to be rid of his Hordika form which is something Roodaka can't give him and that the Rahaga already promised him, if Roodaka's first words weren't "I can make you a toa again" he wouldn't even consider it, Vakama on the other hand didn't care nearly as much about his Hordika form, wanted to be a better leader, and was spiteful towards Matau for his earlier comments (likely amplified by the Hordika venom) so it makes sense why Roodaka would be able to manipulate him easier, she can offer to help him be a better leader (aka help him be a tyrant) and could exploit that sense of spite he has towards Matau to help further turn him against the others Plus I find it a lot more interesting to have the vain loudmouth be the one to swallow his pride and have to admit he was wrong instead of having them be the one to turn evil
Justice League Vs Bizarro Justice League is probably my favorite lego dc animated movie. Call it nostalgia buy I think it’s super fun and such a good story.
The only reason I hate the Ninjago movie is that they changed the show afterwards. Plus, for me, the lego to real life ratio was off, too much real life stuff.

Can't express enough just how much I need a Lego Heroica Movie. I know WB is probably done with that style after Lego Movie 2, but Heroica is just such a memorable property to me and it would fit the formula so perfectly
@@HB-fq9nn Lego's attempt at a fantasy adventure board game in the same vein as something like DND, but much more simplified. I liked Lego friends girlz 4 life but I wish it could’ve been more plus the animation was mix of m2 animation (who does the show) and warner bros. (Who distributed/or produced it)
I think the reason for the improvement between the Superhero Girls movies is because they're tied into two completely different shows with the exact same name.
10:07 are we going to try and bring up at this movie does not even remotely look like Legos(and I don’t mean like mini figures I mean the LEGO mini dolls that these are actually based off of)
No lego marvel movies? I know they’re supposed to be short films but I think they’re good too. (Currently watching the video rn so I’ll edit my comment to see if there’s one or not)
One thing i disliked about the lego ninjago movie was that in the dutch dub, the VA that voiced Cole in the show voices Lloyd in the movie. 13 y/o me hated that.
I'm surprised the Lego Ninjago movie ranked that high on your list. And I'll be honest that I think it deserved all the hate it got because after seeing it at the time of the year when it came out and rewatching it recently which I still heavily disliked it. I don't have anything against comedy or things that are more light hearted and I've loved the early 2000s cartoons. But it still has to be within reason of its characters, world building, theme, have some kind of meaning and not be pandering/overreaching. Plus I really enjoyed both Lego movies and the Lego Batman movie as well but this one I really didn't. They try to portray Lord Garmadon as a out of touch or embarrassing father for Lloyd story but just overdo it to the point of it being really uncomfortable and annoying which makes him feel more like an attention seeker then anything else. Which is just overreaching and Master Wu kind of shares a similar problems. This is just a really strange way to characterize them in a more comedic light heart way despite them being the supposedly older characters. If they dialed it back a bit or did an exaggerated, caricature or stereotypes version then that would be so much better. Plus the jokes feel meaningless and nonsensical which makes it feel lazy. I mean both of them brought out a book they're selling just to make that quirky salesman jokes but it just a one off things that does nothing, wasn't even set up, committed to for anything within its world or for some kind of commentary. I don't even remember if it had any good action that I liked. Plus I never get why they had a cat as the foreboding threat when it's not that antagonistic or remotely menacing and serves nothing for the story. I think I remember the Lego civilians awing at it so maybe it was meant to be cute for audience but doesn't really serve anything else so I might as well be watching cat videos instead. Like the only thing I found that was ok was that Llody and Garmadon bonding for a bit in the middle and sharing a moment at the end. But it just doesn't feel deserved or built up to when Garmadon doesn't even acknowledge or justify the way he acts or is characterised and that he is just an absentee father. It just all feels like a pandery and overreaching movie in the same way I feel towards Warner Bros and Cartoon Network cartoons with most of their new releases from 2013 onwards. I'm just glad that there wasn't a second movie and the series has gone on to have 15 amazing seasons and a new spin off series. I would be all for a comedic light hearted movie but not by the team that made the first movie because they barely put any thought in its execution and any meaning, reasoning or integrations of its jokes.
Meh. I felt they overplayed Batman being a narcissist in the Lego Batman movie. I also hate how they took a jab at teaming up with villains only to do just that at the end. Gotham City breakout was kinda hard to get through, frankly. Not a bad list at all though.
Lego Batman Movie gets number for me over The Lego Movie. Piece By Piece will probably be number 2. I thought they did a feature Lego Star Wars but I guess not, though those are really and they make Vader and Sidious are funny af in the shorts 😂😂
I saw the 4-D movie, it was just a dumb adventure where they all race to get a package, it's OK. Also, no "Lego Atlantis?" :c Edit: nvm it's a short movie, I remember it being longer.
The LEGO Movie 2 is one of the most underrated things I've ever seen. I think it's almost perfect and it's among the three best films I've ever seen, for me it's without a doubt the best LEGO film
Just realized one of these movies is the reason we have "Bruce, it's been 5 years, you still owe me 16 dollars." 💀

I love how this video and Biff Weed's video released in almost perfect synergy. The power is so high for real
What’s better is that both of their #1’s are The Lego Movie
You know Nemesis is going to lay the fucking smackdown on the movie when the Brandon Yates Luigi vs FNAF theme is playing
Lego Batman is the best comic book film to me without a doubt
I was not expecting Clutch Powers to rank as high as it did, and that's coming from someone who watched it all the time as a kid.
I was not expecting Garmadon to be as funny as he was when I first watched the LEGO Ninjago Movie. 😂
