  • I tasked myself with finding one good scene in the cinematic failure that was Death Note (2017) starring Nat Wolff.

Thank you for thanking us but I should thank you for this. If you're gonna make flash and obiwan videos I'll watch but not many people have made death note movie videos

The Japanese managed to make a series, where Light was a normal teenager at the beginning and L was genius, mostly calm and basically the opposite of the L in the film. So Light got the notebook without being a genius and this series turned out good. So why failed the Light of the movie in becoming a good character, while the Light of the series succeeded? Because of two things, that could have changed the quality of the US movie for the better: Structure and time. What do I mean? If they put the first two killing scenes before the scene, where Light met Ryuk and cut out the whole motivation scene from Ryuk and changing the position of some other scenes from the film, things make far more sense. So even without adding characters missing in the film, you can make the film better. If Netfix makes another DN-film, it should control the structure of the script and how much time it is using for it's characters.

Netfix simply failed to make a good film. Even with a american high-school teenager you can make a good DN-film. Netflix could have even saved the film, while keeping parts of the skript. But no, we got this bs.
