Mega Man & Bass, known in Japan as Rockman & Forte (ロックマン&フォルテ Rokkuman ando Forute?), is an action-platform video game developed and published by Capcom. It is a spin-off title in the original Mega Man series and was originally released exclusively in Japan on April 24, 1998 for the Super Famicom. Mega Man & Bass was ported to the Game Boy Advance (GBA) handheld in 2002 and was localized in North America and PAL regions the following year.
After defeating the evil Dr. Wily many times, the robotic hero Mega Man is called into action once again when a powerful being known as King steals the blueprints to the creations of Dr. Wily and Dr. Light in order to create an army for robotic dominance over humans. Having learned of the threat, Mega Man's rival Bass decides to take matters into his own hands. The game is an action-platformer where the player advances by defeating bosses and acquiring their signature weapons. Mega Man & Bass lets the player choose between either of its title characters, each of which plays differently from the other.
Mega Man & Bass debuted on the aging 16-bit Super Famicom despite the series having already transitioned to the PlayStation and Sega Saturn with Mega Man 8. Artist and designer Keiji Inafune claimed Mega Man & Bass was created with regard to younger players who did not yet own one of the more advanced gaming systems. The game received positive remarks from critics for its graphics and use of a tried-and-true gameplay formula, though many found the difficulty to be too steep. Although Mega Man & Bass shares many traits with previous console games in the series, the ninth numbered title would not be released until 2008

I believe its a remaster of the original.
There was a Mega Man fan site I used to go to in the late 90's/early 2000's that constantly had a midi version of Cold Man's theme playing on it. Because of that Cold Man's theme become one of my all time favorites from the franchise. Hearing such a fantastic cover has really hit my nostalgia hard, fantastic work dude.

Now, I believe Cold Man was actually NOT based on a design from Light or Wily, but on a design for a heavy duty arctic work unit made by Dr. Mikhail Cossack (the third "Dr." that many seem to forget.)

When I was just scrolling down to search for the official soundtrack for this and this comes out. I was not disappointed... Cheers, bro! Perfectly executed! This was my childhood... And to think someone a remake of the tracks... I cried.
El primer megaman que jugé y gracias a ellos disfruté de todas las demas, siempre voy a recordar este con cariño a pesar de ser infravalorada, sus temas son hermosos en especial cuando llegas a los bosses, la adrenalina fluia por mis venas de niño.
Megaman and Bass is friggin' awesome. It assumed you were good at the main series, and didn't hold back one bit. Ironically, it was the first OG Mega Man series game I actually owned. Due to being a Megaman X player though, Bass was my go-to character. Due to this experience, I never got the command dash out of my moveset. Bass is such a unique character to play. After playing through the rest of the series though, I had no real issue playing as Mega Man.
Back to the OST though, this game is right up there with Megaman 7, X1, X2, X4 and X5 for best in the franchise to me. All six of these games I'll rock out to anytime, and I listen to your Guitar Playthroughs quite often. Rock on, player. Rock on.
