Ariana Grande Has 4 Octaves While Mariah Has 5. Only One Person You Can Compare Her To Which Is Leah Mcfall She Also Have 5 Octaves ButnDoes Nothing With Her Career Which Is Shameful.
It's sad people hate on this woman. I've seen her in concert on a number of occasions. She doesn't fake her whistle registers. She's proud of that ability. Hell, went partially deaf for two weeks once. Love Mariah.
For those of you who want to know the notes, here are the highest in each one: 5 : F6 4 : B6 3 : G#7 2 : B6 1 : A6 So both in number three were higher than the rest of them.
Anne Welch you’re not the one to talk lmao she’s extremely talented and know how to control her voice when you you’re just a random hater hating on people around you because you’re jealous
That is brilliant singing. She doesn't hit them all the time and most of her songs showcase her vocal talent. She's blessed to have a voice like that. Compare her to those monotone teen bopper singers nowadays.
JasonWess Long Than go show a video of you hitting the whistle register with precise technique. Without sounding like a dying whale. With resonance and a vibrato. Can phrase in the whistle register with accuracy.
its to her herself more clearly by pushing the ear piece in harder like when if your listening to music and you push your air pods in its louder, same thing
addwantedparadise Grammys are not important anymore. Grammy awards are more like donations than awards.Adele has more grammys than Whitney houston but it still doesn't make her a better singer. It's quite sad actually. :(
addwantedparadise They have a LOT more categories nowadays and there is much, much less competition then there was back during Mariah's peak. If her peak were to happen today she would probably have 15+ Grammys
Kefah Jaber 5: The highest is an F6 4: The highest is a B6 3: The highest in the first clip is a F#7, in the second one Bb7 2: It's a B6 1: I think it's a G#6
Such a beautiful whistle register. For those who dont know what a whistle register is. Its the highest register of the human voice lying above the modal register. Yea now you know. Stop with the annoying comments she is not screaming she is doing a whistle register.
I think they get confused because she can start her whistle tone lower in to the modal range than other whistle-tone users, where there's a clear break with a range gap between the two registers. It's a freaky thing. I can do whistle tone but as a guy there's like a several-octave "hole" and I can't go from operatic heldentenor to whistle tone without taking a breath to reset everything and attack the note by manipulating my larynx instead of diaphagmatic support as done in all other vocal modes.
How in hell people can say this is annoying? Did all the insignificant haters agree to watch this video? Btw: a scream and a piercing whistle tone are NOT the same
Well the technical part has nothing to do with what you find pleasant to hear. High frequency sounds are not the favorites of many people so you can be impressed at someone's technique but you still feel annoyed that they hit high frequencies all the time and quite honest I don't see the point of so high notes either because even if it is impressive it sounds like a whistle and less than song. I mean we all know the Doll Aria from Tales of Hoffman reaches an A6 and is already high so I see no actual point at pushing yourself envelop till an octave above and I wouldn't quite enjoy hearing so high notes all the time. Nevertheless if she can actually hit those notes with her voice (and not with support from the mic) then good for her and really impressive execution.
@@katerinaaqu(I'm kinda late sorry lol) I doesn't sound like much of a song to you because you're watching a compilation of her whistles. More ofter than not Mariah uses her whistle as a way of adding to the song, whether via harmonies, as a storytelling device or as an added texture (much like flipping into falsetto). If you're interested I'd recommend Emotions and I Wish You Knew (storytelling), Dreamlover (harmonies), Bliss (stylistic) and Bringing On The Heartbreak (she mimics a guitar!).
@@tomasck2973 Well thanks. I was mostly referring to the how much such high frequencies can be pleasing or not and I gave my opinion but thanks for the extra info. Appreciated.
