i started on fixed gear in Brooklyn and loved Zach's video when I was a gigging musician and sometimes messenger. After 7 months in NYC post-pandemic, my lease ended and I lost my day job so I moved home to the south. I built a Straggler from the frame up and found Pathless and Spindatt. Spindatt helped me build my tool arsenal, Pathless helped me weed through the weird culture of gravel bikes and infinite "innovation" money pits. I just built my first vintage rebuild (a 1986 Miyata Trailrunner) for my partner. It's a single speed build with fat tires for New Orleans flat roads and pot holes. Can't wait to keep building bikes and learning from cool RUclips folks!
Hey guys- I’ve been thoroughly enjoying all of your stuff, collective as well as individual. You all bring a refreshing authenticity to your work which is what keeps me checking in. Keep on keeping on, and all the very best!
Hey guys, I just wanted to drop a note telling you how much I’ve enjpyed watching ACN. I started watching Zach about 3 years ago, later found Russ’ channel and only recently found Erics. Sorry Michael, I think I only ever watched one of yours. All of you have your own unique styles and I like them all and couldn’t see any of you doing anything different. Russ is so chill and relaxed and I love the multi-day adventures!! Zach is very detailed and yet has his fun Fixie Points side even though I don’t think he likes doing them. Eric is hard to describe, but I certainly can see is thought process and why he does things, his style is so refreshing in that he just goes with the flow and tells you like it is. Longer episodes from you all would be awesome. I wish I had found ACN sooner, but I never knew you all were doing this until 4 days ago. Never heard anything on PLP or Spindatt. I watched a Zach episode right after a few of Erics and one of PLPs and it popped up on my suggested list, so maybe you could link it in the Details section ? Best of luck to you all and Michael, I’ll go look up Locked In.
I’m really glad this happened. As a 2007 Steamroller user and a lugged steel fixed rider (whose bike keeps looking more like Zach’s minus the CUT Paul post), I was touched.
Zach is responsible for my fixed gear obsession. After decades of road bike background I decided to get a future proof track bike. Now safe from disk brakes, ever expanding axle lengths, and an expanding nebulous mishmash of each companies boutique standards. Old habits die hard though. Lycra not denim. Old guy sometimes puts the hammer down!
I like to watch gas station encounters, it's really popular, but there is also Fav Tip, sometimes they post exactly the same video, but GSE will get 10x the amount of views. It's sort of puzzling.
I didn't agree that old shovels videos were similar to Eric's until I checked while watching this video and his latest post was a tracklocross build. Hahahaha!
Trendy retro. Now there's a new concept. Maybe needs a dropper seat post to keep up with the cool dudes. Probably the knees would hit the chin! Dumpster dive bike gets Lefty fork!
I’m curious if any of you watch or have reached out to video/photography/music specific you tubers? I have a love for cameras and watch a channel like Peter McKinnon for example. His production value is just crazy good. It would be interesting to see a collaboration of your takes and bike content through the lens of other types of youtubers. And this is not to say anything negative about the content you put out. I subscribe to all 4 of you and love your content. Keep it up. Also Dustin Klein in the channel sometime?
When I here everyone on here besides "spindatt" talk about time I feel like you need to work in a kitchen and then think about how to manage the time left over in the day for yourself. Also you guys seem to take too long to edit a video in the current times. these are simple videos with one idea behind them. For Zack the self improvement video topics in riding/skating/hobbies are very important for a lot of people. that wasn't unnoticed in the discussion.

I started watching his videos in 2015.
What got me hooked was his sound and annunciation of words.
Nice show fellas. Peace!!!!
It's like a therapy group session for bike youtubers
Well, how does that make you feel?
So cool to see Zach there, shame no chat about fixed in gravel which seems to picking up momentum

Cool to see Zach with you guys!
Still riding my track bike for commuting and recovery.
Drop-bars on a scooter; that's insane!
Fixed gear doesn't mean that there are no brakes or that there is no dropper post, or that there is only one gear. It just means that you can't coast.
I feel so old.... Fixie for life. Velo. Road. Mountain. Cross.
Mountain bikes can be a single speed rigid and are super fun😀
Not only do viewers freak out when you diverge too far from your normal content but more importantly the algorithm freaks out haha!
"The red light is on."

This is Awesome . Especially seeing spindatt. Sick!!
This channel is so Reasonably Dangerous 😏
😁😁😉
living in the bay area, I don't think fixed gear has died out.

It’s a small world!

Phil Gaimon already has the wattage cottage I’m afraid
Whatever happened to GCN's wattage bazooka? Ah, heavy aero wheels now rule!
Quadwankfest.
Surprisingly therapeutic for me. So true. So very f’ing true.
