How’s living there? Is there much to do? Mainland vs island where is the best to settle down?

To be honest, Guam is good if you're rich. If you don't make much money and don't have base access, you will struggle. The natural beauty and native heritage of the island is the best part. But if I was to tell somewhere where to live, for a better quality of life, I would have to push for the mainland. Guam is a good vacation spot and maybe ok for retirement, but the young need a better place to thrive and achieve success.

@Reardon_Explores the affects from inflation has ruined the experience. The last time chamorro village was still affordable was pre Biden administration. Pre pandemic. Those 7 dollar juice drinks used to be $5

@@natadodo1564 best if you live in tumon. It's close to everything. But if you wanna get away from the tourist scene you'd probably wanna live down in Santa rita

My first duty station in the military back in the early 1980s was Guam. The food and beach/ocean were my greatest loves of my time there.

My brother is currently stationed in Guam and I was curious about the food from there but after watching this, I'm now completely jealous of what he's eating over there 😂

We were there last Jan for 3 days. Was nice, had a good time but as the old saying goes "nice place to visit but wouldn't want to live there".
To small and limited things to do there. We would be bored after a month.

Very understandable. I'd say vacations are where it's at or to only live for short-term. Agreed.

Although, I found out I was allergic to mango. I am so sorry to have discarded the drink but I was instantly throat itchy. Sorry to the person who bought me the drink. I didn’t want to cause a medical emergency. 😳
