    Of course it will. A republican vote is inherently more valuable because of the electoral college

    The electoral college should be abolished

    • @bikebudha01
      @bikebudha01 Месяц назад +2

      nope... It's working as intended. If "your side" is losing the electoral college, your side should be putting the work in to make your party more popular in ALL states.. and not just coasting on the states you are currently strong in...

      @@bikebudha01 why should someone's vote count more depending on the state that they live in?

      @@kahner93 It's not "more" it's "count at all". If we just did popular vote, no rural voter's vote would mean anything. That's why we have the electoral college. It's a recognition, by the foundars, that giving centralized urban centers all the power is a bad thing. AND... there is nothing stopping dems from reaching out to rural communities and getting dems elected in those states. Look at the Montana Senator, he's had 2 terms in the senate in a deep red state (hoping he gets a 3rd term). No reason we can't elect dems in Oklahoma, North Dakota, or any other red state. But you know, we HAVE TO WORK FOR THEIR VOTES...

      @@keanu7318 Yeah, but AGAIN, swing states are just proof that both parties aren't working hard enough to eliminate the non-swing states from the other party. Why haven't the dems put more of an effort into winning Texas (for example). Why haven't the republicans put more effort into winning California? The electoral college is not preventing either party from doing that.

      @@bikebudha01 why does a vote in one state matter more than in another state? Make votes equal. That's like saying that in football, when a team scores a touchdown, the amount of points they get depends on the state they are from, its stupid.

    Maine and Nebraska have the best electoral models in the US; while not perfect, individual votes for president actually count …what a concept.

    Of course It is a big advantage for the Republican party, the electoral college for the simple reason that they had a chance to win presidential elections because if the elections will decide like the normal in every democratic country, The elections will be resolved by popular vote.
