This audio setup was terrible. If you wanna truly enjoy Gororoth, watch the Wacken performance in 2008. For me that was prbably one of the greatest live performance of all time in all kinds.
I'd recommend you all to watch the God Seed(/Gorgoroth) Live at Wacken 2012 recording. It's about the same set list but in way better quality. Gaahl sounds amazing and flawless there.
Sure, the mix is not "good" by pro-shot standards we have at this time. But considering this is a smaller known festival, and the raw mix is probably from the mixertable itself. People tend to comment on Gaahl's performance, but his voice has been like this for a very long time, but often slightly mixed to sound better.
Varg intentionally screamed through a headset, and the first Berzum is beautiful. Black metal supposed to be the punkest of metal. Fuck anyone who cares differently..
