    Once I was driving on the highway just after replacing my blades, and one of my brand new blades flew off of my windshield at 60 mph. It happened because when I installed it, I didn't want to break anything by pushing too hard, and I didn't "listen for the snap". 🙃 Nice video.

    Thanks! I had to use a pair of needle nose pliers (while wearing leather gloves) to release a clip in the old wiper before it would come off the J hook. New one snapped on easily like in your video.

    • @gfotinakes316
      @gfotinakes316  9 месяцев назад

      You are welcome. They seem to change the outside plastic each year, I believe they want people to think it is "new and improved." Chances are you have a "J" hook design and your biggest problem will be to break it loose. It usually takes a lot of pulling and wiggling before it lets go. Goo luck!

    Thank you for the video. I purchased the blades at Costco some time back and installed them per your video. The new blades I just purchased do not have the plastic cover, so the metal "j" arm stays exposed. I tried using the clip that came in the box but there no way to snap it into place. I have a 2018 Sienna. I also purchased for my Nissan truck with J arm also and the same thing happened- no clip to cover the top part of the arm. I don't know if this is a new design or parts are missing in all four blades. Any input?

    • @gfotinakes316
      @gfotinakes316  23 дня назад

      I would guess that this is their new design. With less plastic are they trying to save money?

    Nice video! For my Subaru Forester I need a 26 inch on the driver's side and a 17 inch on the passenger's side. Are the wipers specific to one side or the other or will a 26 inch size work on either the driver's side or passenger's side?

    • @gfotinakes316
      @gfotinakes316  Год назад +1

      I believe they are specific to one side or the other. Check your car's handbook regarding wiper blade replacements. If you have lost it, find it on line. Merry Christmas!

    Thanks for many helpful bits, like you may have to pull hard, ‘cause I was afraid of breaking something! But when you say "just open this flap…”. I have the identical new Michelin wiper blade, but that flap doesn’t lift up in either direction to save your mother and no round part gets exposed. What about these problems that might happen when it doesn’t all go so simply? These help videos always assume everything goes as it should - in which case I wouldn’t need any damn video! How about a sequel for when this and that doesn’t go so easily??

    • @gfotinakes316
      @gfotinakes316  Год назад

      Sorry you are having such a tough time. At least you did not break your windshield like I did on my first video. Take a look at the ending to my other video, it is more realistic.
