I am a newbie, and just picked up the 6s Machete a couple weeks ago. I have a car from most of the bigger companies and like things about each and every one. The original problems that occurred with the original release have been addressed, and mine came with updated parts. I like the body style and plenty of speed for me. I love ripping around the bmx park with it, and so far no breaks, with a few runs under my belt. As long as i am having fun, then I am happy with my purchase.
I have the 6s version exact same ESC I ended up mounting it the switch on the bottom against the side with double-sided tape and a small screw. I got 57mph out of mine with the belted kaiju ext wheels
Props to redcat on this one. I think they are handling everything awesome on this one.. it’s nice to see them fixing issues people where having on these. Looks like a solid rig for sure
Red cat racing no longer puts the part sheets or the vehicle break down cheese in their box with their new vehicles. They expect you to download on your tiny little phone and try and figure out what you need when it breaks.
@@JayTeeRC ok thank you I have a few Rc vehicles one is my Corally Dementor I’m running a 46 tooth spur gear and 16 tooth Robinson Pinion it reached 180 after one hour of hard running and the ESC 160 . Thank you this is good to know . I watch your channel all the time and respect your opinions.

I was thinking about grabbing a kaiiju and a 4s machete and just swapping since the 4s would be plenty for the kaiiju
Have you thought about upgrading the motor and esc... i have the 6s but i want to go 8s with it.. i really think it could handle it
I know this is old but I swapped a 8s spektrum setup in mine. Little bit of work but doable for sure.
Mount the ESC switch to the screw the ESC is mounted to look like it will be an OK spot

Should of monitored temps too. See how the motors holding up to the Xtra whomp from the 6s

It’s pretty good overall of course we haven’t seen any bashing but it’s definitely not a threat to Arrma & Traxxas
Seems slow for 6s to me. My mix will do 52 on 3 s
