  • This just happens to be our old engine from back in 2018, haven't seen it in years. This short block is 6-7 years old so let see what we can do with it.

Nice work. Glad to see you’re getting results from the dyno. Also note to self. Buy valves in pairs in case they are mixed up 😂

Nice videos! On the leak test does the gauge on the left say the pressure is 15 PSI? Was curious if you have increased this pressure. Thank you! Keep up the good work!

Great explanations, videos, love that you are data driven, and I really like how you use your tools i.e. with a lot of respect and care!
A couple of questions for you.
Around 14:00 you were taking measurements using the protractor and a depth gauge. Was that to profile the cam? What were you looking for?
I'll recheck but i haven't seen you do a carb service video. Could you please consider doing one?
    Thank you.

Lapping valves with the drill is a no-no. I was scolded by a well known machinist. A back and forth motion using a suction cup tool is the best way.

Everyone has their own way and opinion. It works for me so I shall continue with the drill method.

You'll need the kit and the 30 degree cu126 cutter is separate.

where did you get the chain guard??? Exactly what I've been looking for, tired of chain lube being slung everywhere!! Thanks Brother

Ya man I know, it was a full kit that has a matching engine mount and catch holder! Got it from @Jtpkartingproducts, absolutely the best CNC karting accessories money can buy period. Their website has been gone for awhile though.

Would you be kind enough to point me in the right direction on the kit for cutting the valves? We are not allowed to change the profile in the UK.
    Thanks in advance!

I got an issue with my lo206 in senior class. Once the engine reaches 48 mph the engine gives a "popping" sound. It almost sounds like its hitting a rev limiter. Would a fix be a tuning on the engine, valve timing, or something with the carburetor? Also once i reach the speed where the sound starts i slightly lift off because i am not sure if it is fine for the engine or not and I see others in my class getting up to 51 mph just fine with no "popping" sound.

So my gut is telling me it's too lean up top, try lowering your float height to start. I would also with the engine not running remove the filter, pull the throttle cable and insure your getting full throttle. Definitely worth throwing in a new plug just to rule that out too.

Maybe check the kill switch wiring too for any shorts.

Do you cut to angles on the seats

    • @robbinsracing801
      @robbinsracing801  2 месяца назад

Yup, first cut is a 45 degree and the seconds is a very light 30 degree cut per US rule set 21.f
