I never played sniper in this game. I always stick to basic infantry, medic, or engineer. But you make it look really fun, I might have to give it a try
its hard to get since u probably need a spotter to be ur friend cause most people dont like the spotter role
i think sniping in HLL is relatively easy compared to other games. there is no crazy bulletdrop or extremely shakey aiming and as long u stay distant to the enemy you got a huge advantage because most classes only got basic iron sight
I got a blind headshot firing into a smoke screen once... but that one of yours towards the end was pure *chefs kiss*

@@ohedd with rifles for sure but anything full auto is worth spraying in the smoke. I get kills all the time with the LMGs

I get so excited when I’m loading into Stalingrad, then I’m reminded that the optimization on console for this map specifically is still absolutely terrible. Frames drop off a cliff, constant lag. It’s a shame too. I love that map.
We say the same thing on PC still :(

Half the time I don't even know where the fuk the enemy is or where I'm getting shot from! This guy knows where every single foe is on the map!
its really not that hard to read the map and tell where the enemy is coming from lol
@ALPINΞ SNIPΞR you can see where enemy territory is but that doesn't mean you can see people in smoke or the last shot you took lol

The amount of times I have to tell blueberries to change their snow uniform is ridiculously high. At least once every few games.

Sniper is so OP that I don't understand how infantry gets fucking anything done in the real world without getting sniped.
In the real world you can see detail better at distance. So in games, this gives more advantage to magnified optics, and almost none of their disadvantages are shown.
- For example, hunting for targets that you can see moving, but getting the scope on can be a pain (it's like looking through a straw, even if you know exactly where the target is, getting it into a high magnification scopes view can take longer than in games where everything is always perfectly aligned with the centre of the screen when you bring the rifle up - this is why some guys still put little offset red dots on precision rifles, it helps find the target)
- the need to have a really stable body position otherwise the image just shakes all over the place (in games you can run, and almost immediately take up a brilliantly stable firing posture. No, the little bit of 'sway' they put in isn't nearly enough - the *slightest* movement IRL makes an accurate shot really hard, and outright impossible at high magnification)
- similar to the above point, the rifle must be as stable as possible. Holding by hand and making accurate shots at hundreds of meters, while in combat (ie, a two way firing range) just isn't really consistant. In this clip, one could assume he was bracing the rifle at least, although it isn't shown in game (COD has 'mounting' at least).
- the need to have your eye perfectly aligned with the scope (IRL you get shadowy black half moons on the edges of the scope if you're not aligned, and your eye really has to be quite well aligned - in games it's instantly perfect). Same even for the back/forwards position ('eyebox'). The more the magnification, the more precisely your eye must be positioned. This error can affect point of impact vs point of aim, but of course at the very least makes actually seeing a perfect image like in games always show harder.
- hit boxes in games are almost always really forgiving (for hitting) - IRL actually tracking and hitting moving targets isn't as easy (although games lack of inertia does make that hard in its own way).
- trigger control in game, like stance and rifle positioning, is always perfect. No flinching, jerking the trigger etc.
- in games your soldier is perfect, never tired (barring temporary 'stamina' effects), never in pain, always fed etc...
- even with modern games and the excellent graphical detail, the real world still has more 'stuff' moving around and getting in the way.
- real soldiers in actual combat (ie. they know bullets are flying, and the enemy is nearby) tend to hug cover and especially the ground much more, and also don't charge in like their lives mean nothing (no respawns). So, much more caution is involved.
A lot of the above can be worked on with training of course, but it's never as perfect as it is in game. Sorry for the torrent of words, didn't intend that to start with, but got me thinking about it. Anyway, real life is quite different, others experience might be different, but that's my 2c opinion...

hll has more action and is more cinematic then squad, but the last one is more tactical and slowly, otherwise squad has very good mods. both are awesome game with good content.

the videos on this game always make it look great. I downloaded it during a free weekend and to my disappointment it was one of the worst fps games I've ever played.
If you want your gameplay to look like his, it won’t for a very long time. Alpine is an exceptionally good player. The average kills most people get in a round is maybe 4 to 7, better players get higher and there are plenty of moments where people get 20+ kills.
If you want high action gameplay that’s super intense, you’ll get that sometimes, but mostly Hell Let Loose is slow and tactical. You’re not gonna find any COD style fps stuff here. This is easily one of the best FPS games I’ve ever played, but it might not be for you. It definitely isn’t for everyone.
They need to add a pacific campaign thing

Just played this game and it was terrible. 90% long range kills were I didnt see them or they didnt see me. Basically no teamwork within the squads, only on a strategic/logistic level. Got revived by a medic once.
it's a lot more fun if you play with a few friends, recon, armor or arty is a good time with friends.
