I agree SG, I wish IS2/IS3 has no “Encounter” pathing requirement for 3rd/4th ending. I am fine with 2nd ending requirement but just wish how to get 3rd/4th ending is more Creative.
IS4 did it infinitely better They're basically always guranteed and you just have to opt in to that ending If you don't want a particular ending the node that gives you that path isn't wasted because the node has other functions
The amount of times I've gotten dupe Camp encounters while going for endings was infuriating. I essentially got reduced to grinding for collection completion and only going for endings if the opportunity appeared. Trying for ending 3 just to see 1 encounter node throughout the whole floor was also just as painful.
On 38:25 - The Centurion has the crown icon so he's a boss according to the game, but (spoiler warning for people who didn't watch the CN summer stream) he got added to TfN in #2 and in the very next season they're going to start including minibosses like FTT and the Il Siracusano priest guy, which says a lot about what they think of him.
I was convinced there was a higher power stopping me from getting mouthpiece ending for a while. Having to get two rng node encounters was infuriating, sometimes just having to toss really fun runs.
@@DrSilvergun Yeah it wasn’t just dealing with the +2 dp cost for the first half, but skipping out on a path with battles or elites so you can take a chance at the ending requirements and end up getting some shit like rest stops for 2 life points or w/e. Looking forward to IS4 at least, it sounds a lot better.
@@mrrp405 IS4 is fucking awesome 2nd Ending Gives u a rune that spawns the node you need for the ending. You can use it to delete a dangerous emergency fight you don't want to do 3rd ending gives you an item that changes every single stage by adding extra enemies/making enemies spawn faster etc. And the nodes you get them from have guaranteed spawns
IS2 was harder when my roster was weaker, but now that I have so many op characters and way more e2s its hilarious coming back. Not even texalter, chongyue is hilarious when he isnt getting carpet bombed by urchins and crabs and psychic damage
i found IS3 a bit easier, but man this 4th ending i tried like 10 times to get it then i stopped its not worth the time. Why they had to make it so hard to get it... Whats the chance to get it like 10%?
@@alexandersebela370 I think is3 is more restrictive in team building especially at high surge so its inherently harder, so many characters are just actively griefing you on at like surge 12-15(especially 15) compared to is2 hard mode. just compare how many stages in is2 thorns literally soloes in a row compared to is3
@@CaptinSpyke well is 2 doesnt have this 15 layers of difficulty only hard with 1 negative item. I dont like this surge layers i got to 9 its a bit too hard to enjoy the game. But the gameplay is more balanced with squads, more interesting items or rooms to explore. Like exchange of items, or by doing quest for reward. Also this roll dice system gives a lot of new strategies.
i accidentally got this ending when grinding IS2 for the rewards i was lucky to have a good enough team because i was confused and scared for my run but now i have the full medal set so that's epic
This got me to go back and try the non-standard endings on hard mode(only ever did lucian) and wow I did not have Schwarz or fiammetta the last time I found Sad Lock... that was a massacre. mouthpiece I beat the ending the single time I actually met the requirements so its actually way easier than I realized. Playwright is definitely still the worst boss map because of the stupid exploding guys and if you dont manage to burst him down the map becomes a nightmare.
The first time I got this boss I managed to win without knowing the mechanics solely because of the -50% redeploy plus the -10% redeploy relic, as well as the -10 DP cost to Pioneers, so I deployed Yato not far from a literal 70 times during the fight and barely did it by throwing dumb amounts of DPS while having a 0 cd redeploy god blocker. :D
When i was getting all endings all squads in IS2, i remember the nightmare that was getting the encounters. Encounter 1 comes too fast and your squad isnt developed enough? Lose. Draw it out so you can beat it? Too bad, the encounter didnt appear. Then the second encounter just refuses to show sometimes. Time to go into a state of ignoring is4 content until i get bored in the 6 month gap and end up looking at content on it.

I remember in is2 I almost gave up getting mouthpiece ending coz he just won't come out or if I get it I got very shitty relics that I end up failing with phantom took me months just to finally finish it
IS endings are bad especially is3 with skadi you have to actively looke for encounters on 4th and 5th floor to get her fight not to mention depending on rng you might get the worst debuff on your operators I do not play cn but i hope is4 is a bit chill with ending requirements

Most annoying part is how it forces you take suboptimal paths for a "chance" at getting the ending

Actually IS content have bigger gap than regular since yostar delayed is3. I think for IS gap is 8 months.
