Hi there I'm having issues with my ktm won't start was a good runner start every time but left about a year in garage and won't start turns over but has no spark etc ?
Yes this could totally cause a no start. The TPS is in direct relationship with the fuel management.. I would fix that issue first and then if there is no other issues it should fire right up.
Having this same issue, mechanic said it could be the valves or fuel pump. But the fuel pump starts up when you press the starter. She just won't fire! What the heck is the problem!? Brand new motor with only 23hrs on it
Hello. Even though you can hear the fuel pump running doesn't mean its producing the pressure needed. But it could also be a bad spark plug. Even though the plug may spark when you check it by grounding on the frame doesn't mean it will spark when its in the cylinder under pressure. I would start getting a new plug, plug the spark plug on the frame and hit the start button, check that it sparks (letting us know we have ignition). Next I would put the plug in and see if it starts. If not then I would pull the plug back out and pour some fuel directly into the spark plug hole, quickly install the new plug and see if it barks off for a second. If it does then you have a fuel issue, and need to look into why the motors not getting fuel. If it doesnt bark off then you have a motor issue and would check compression next. Can u help my ktm sxf 250cc 2012 Stewart’s first kick and runs for 15seconds then dies full pumped good injectors good all fuel is great put new TPS ECU WIRING LOOM PLZ HELP
Tip over sensor. Sounds like. Some bikes it's a separate sensor with a arrow pointed up, and some bikes its built into the ECU. I believe KTM uses a separate sensor for its tip over though. Google tip over sensor for the 2012 ktm 250sxf, find what it looks like and its location. Make sure its arrow is pointed up. If it is then maybe try either replacing it or unplugging it. With it unplugged it will kick a engine code but should run

inline fuel filter should be changed that would made it start easier
On this bike it ended up being the throttle body adjustment, so far so good. I was thinking it could be a fuel issue too.

could any of these problems cause the bike turning off by itself out of nowhere?
Not that I know of. But I have found when they randomly cut out sometimes it can be a spark plug. Maybe try a new plug.
