Thanks for the video! A good tool to also spot icebergs (absorption), on the main chart, and with way less noise, is the Cumulative Delta, basically finding divergences or places where delta is strong to one side but price doesn’t react to it
If you use bid / ask footprint candles, you can see how much was traded at each level. You can match that with the liquidity that was present in the book around the time of the event and if you get much more traded at the bid ( in this case) than was shown in the book, you know there was reloading.
Thanks for the vid Korbs. Thought it was ironic. I just watched this video last night and then for the first time I witnessed an Iceberg form today live and in real time. Check out ES in Bookmap today (08/10/22) at around 12:45PM (EST) on the replay. Around the 4199 level. MASSIVE amount of Iceberg activity. Was really cool to watch it unfold in real-time.
@@gauravagarwal2900 hi Gaurav. Heard about Bookmap, watched some of their vdos on Order flows and Iceberg orders. Felt slightly complicated to me, so currently trading using Market profile and Volume profile indicators.
Hey Joe! This program is focused on intraday trading: holding positions for minutes or hours. Swing trading (holding positions overnight) is an alternative that can work but it’s not specifically covered in our program. We recommend watching Korbs' video about "Best Time Frames for Trading with the Volume Profile". Cheers!
Actual iceberg orders don't generally start slowly "leaking" into the order book. That's not how it works. They don't appear in the order book just because price retreats. They stay hidden until touched. What you saw was just plain and simple reloading.
The CME has added all of the details of orders in the data stream, I can see on my platform and track Iceberg orders, I can see how many contracts are being added or substracted, then I can track how many contracts traded at any given price, I watched an iceberg order today take place at 4360.50, 8000 contracts sold into the bid and I watched how it was reloading and sellers could not break the low. So when Iceberg order is presented in the book, they may only show 10% of the total order, when that is gone the orderbook algorithm tosses another 10% in the book until all orders are filled, so it does reload.
@@oreeceo A shame I didn't have my iceberg detector running today. I suppose you mean the time period from 15:10 - 15:30 ET. I have never seen an 8000 contract iceberg order. What platform are you using by the way?
I have it, but i was one of the early people to jump in and got it for the introduction price of $89 per month. Those icebergs are really informative. In trading there is no amateur league, and that's the cost of business. What Korbs presented here as an iceberg was in reality just reloading the book in plain sight. Icebergs go so fast, it's almost impossible to see. They also don't ADD visible liquidity once touched as was the case here. The iceberg detector is really good. don't just see when an iceberg gets executed. You see when icebergs get partially filled, when it gets moved and when it gets cancelled. The stop detector is also nice. Those are 100% accurate numbers, no guess work. What you also get for the $130 is a very good indicator that shows you the imbalance in the book, that can be filtered by order size. They are also working on an improved version of the tape that you also get for the money. The $130 get's you much more than just the iceberg detector.
@@jjjensen9493 Thanks for the tip. Looks like a guy on the right path. But, you should also consider paying attention to some professionals. For example there is Anthony Drager, he talks a lot about iceberg orders on his RUclips channel. He is a futures trader for 30 years that used to be a floor trader in the Dow Jones pit, or Michael Valtos, who used to be an institutional futures trader for more than 20 years. Those are guys who know the games that are played in the order book. They were on the other side. Executing iceberg orders. They both have RUclips channels.

Are you doing Order Flow analysis in your trading, YES or NO?
I'm interested to see your comment here below 👇
Next logical step in my learning process...more detailed training videos similar to Volume profile will be of great help.
YES-
absolutely!

Nice comment!! I do use CVD but I find it difficult to spot these regularly!! 👍🏼

This is a perfect example, really as a very strong resistance, could you inform us what is the name of the software on the bottom right? Thanks
What app should we use for charts?
I use Sierra charts. No app 🍻🍻
Are you using only indicators included with Sierra charts? What is the tool in the lower middle showing the iceberg?
I too would like to know the tool name.
Hey, it's a custom tool that I use, I cover this topic in detail in this video here: ruclips.net/video/EMiPyXVgudg/видео.html
Let me know if it helps!

Hi Korbs. How can we find other retailers stop loss? Can it be found using Volume profile or any other indicator?😎😎😎
Not that I know of or have access too :)
@@korbstrading hmm. Then how's it that institutional traders do stop hunting of retailers? Do they look into order flow and things like that🤔🤔🤔
@@e.sanoop110 Bookmap has MBO addon that has Stop loss/Iceberg indicator.
