I was just thinking the same thing. I made a conscious effort to move away from various shows and hosts I didn't enjoy. Started spending more time watching DP and Rich Eisen, a few others. This past week, every time I turned them on I've ended up watching as they interview the very people I've been trying to get away from! No good!

@@CliffReeds you are correct to the extent the purpose was to honor TM- but you seemingly agree with my point that we have more media than we need when you claim nothing is going on ( so presumably they chat amongst themselves instead of covering hockey, pro basketball, the upcoming NCAA or golf.

First two MLB games I saw were in 1966 and 67 in St. Louis. Bob Gibson beat the Pirates and Clemente 4-1. The other George Culver beat the Reds 3-1. McCarver was the star in both games. Went 3-4 with 2 doubles in one game and hit a homer in the other. He was a helluva player and a real fighter. RIP Tim.
People always ask for consistency with refs. Sometimes you get away with a few holds and the ref knows he missed em. The receiver gets in his ear. Then you get one that's ticky tack just so the ref doesn't end up missing 3 holding calls against 1 guy. Which would have been the case if they didn't throw that flag
I was born in 1961 and one of my earliest baseball memories is rooting for the Cardinals to beat the Red Sox in the 1967 World Series. Tim McCarver was my favorite player. I later transferred my allegiance to the Baltimore Orioles (little kids are like that) and I still root for them to this day. Would have been a lot easier to be a Cardinal fan, in the long run.
McCarver was boring and tedious for me. I’m glad he was nice and easy to work with for all his colleagues. Will Dan have Deion Sanders on to reminisce? May he Rest In Peace.

78 years old. Al Michaels a real favorite..I can hear the slight glitches that aging brings. Thoughts you assemble with more effort..remember that with my parents..both had lifelong public speaking skills .
