Complete kit with all the materials and tools used in the video available exclusively on Etsy! shinydorodango.etsy.com/listing/1809131544 Everyone, I’m excited to share that I’ve released a full-length, 1 hour and 45-minute dorodango tutorial video! This video is packed with paid-level content, carefully explaining every step to create a shiny dorodango. It’s shown in real-time with no fast-forwarding, so you can follow along and create your own masterpiece. It’s like attending my workshop from the comfort of your home. In fact, you might find it even easier to see what I’m doing compared to being in a workshop! I spent over two weeks creating this video with all my heart. Just reviewing it takes 1 hour and 45 minutes, which shows how detailed and comprehensive it is. In this video, I also introduce the tools I’ve handpicked after testing countless options. The right tools make a big difference in achieving that perfect finish. Feel free to use this as a guide for finding your own ideal tools. For those interested, I’ve put together a limited number of kits on Etsy that include all the materials and tools featured in this video. With this kit, some water, and a bit of olive oil, you’ll be able to replicate the exact process shown in the video. Each kit is handmade with great care, so quantities are limited, but they are put together with confidence and attention to detail. shinydorodango.etsy.com/listing/1809131544 I hope you’ll watch the video, give it a thumbs up 👍, and leave a comment saying, “Well done!” Your support means the world. I hope this video brings you the joy, peace, and healing that dorodango-making has brought to me!😊
Thank you for this gift Noriko. I found myself immersed in the sound and motion of polishing. Listening to it change... Watching your hands as I once watched mine. Broke both arms a few months back and am struggling back to functioning again. Watching and listening to you engage in this meditation gives me inspiration to pick up a ball of clay again. Gratitude.
Oh my, are you okay? You’re in rehabilitation now, aren’t you? 🥹 I’m so happy that I could be of help to you in some way! Take your time to heal at your own pace. ✨🫶🏻
@@DorodangoNoriko-u3xtaking it slow and steady. Have permission from my surgeon to attempt Dorodango 😊 Still have enough clays prepared pre-accident (I wild forage them) and husband dog and I went out and sourced more sand today at the local golf course ;-) Orange zest and bright leaves are drying.... Will take it step by step.... Slowly and enjoy the path. Blessings to you and thanks for the inspiration. ❤❤
I can't believe this video just dropped 16 hours ago, and I just got done making my first dorodango using your first tutorial video. Super synchronicity!
Another wonderful video! I have made almost 30 dorodangos now using your method, and they keep getting better. I have also used soil from my yard in place of sand, and it works well. I would recommend to everyone to sift your ingredients down as fine as possible. I sift everything that goes into my dorodangos with a 60 mesh flour sifter, and it made a big difference in how easy it was to get them smooth. and getting a good shine from the claypowder. Thans again for your hard work @Dorodango Noriko!
Wow! You’ve made so many of them!! 😭😭✨✨🙌🙌🙌🙌 I’m so happy!!! Dorodango is amazing, isn’t it? 🥹💓 It’s so fun, you just can’t stop making them. Dorodango truly brings so much joy, and I believe that if people all around the world played and enjoyed making them, it would bring balance to the mind, body, and thoughts, creating a more peaceful world! Please do involve your friends too!
Thankyou for this. I made a few dorodangos a number of years ago but lost the skill. Fortunately I've three types of clay on my land and several grades of sand in my hillside. For anyone going into small scale production level, check out pottery making suppliers for sacks of different powdered clays, and builder's merchants for plasterer's fine sands.
You have three types of clay? That’s amazing! 🥹✨✨💓 Incredible!!! And you’ve made Dorodangos before? That’s wonderful! It makes me so happy! Please make them again! 🥹💓
@DorodangoNoriko-u3x Thankyou, I shall do so as you've inspired me to return to them. I already use my clays and sands to build accommodation for guests, for plastering and for art. As I also use lime, I'll use your info of the historical purposes to make dorodangos from this too, like with tadelakt 🙏
@ Oh, what a wonderful initiative you have! 🥹✨🫶🏻 Please continue spreading this beautiful art and activity to as many people as you can. It makes me so happy to know that your efforts will bring healing and joy to others. Thank you for all that you are doing, and I’m cheering you on as you continue your amazing work!✨
I’ve calculated the ratios and created a chart for the sand, clay, and water needed for different ball sizes. Do you think sharing this on a community post would make people happy? 😆💓
@@DorodangoNoriko-u3xyes that would be so great! There are so many different types of clay powder available, it would be wonderful to have a basic list of ingredients ❤

I’m currently studying English and Dutch, but they’re quite difficult for me 😭 This video has a mix of Japanese and English, but I’m thinking of speaking in Japanese with subtitles for future videos. So, please come back to my channel when new videos are up! Also, have fun gathering your materials! 😊
Thank you so much for creating this “Master Class”. So much joy can be seen in you demonstrating how to create these beautiful objects. Ive made a few following your videos but this video explains so much more, Thank you! BTW, I ordered your kit as soon as I saw this video 🙂
@ Wow! I just received the notification for your purchase! 😭🩷 You bought it!! I’m so happy! I’m also thrilled that you enjoyed the video. Thank you so much! I hope you have a wonderful time making your Dorodango! 🥹✨✨✨ I’ll pack it with lots of care and love, so please look forward to it! 😊⭐️
Any type of clay powder should work just fine! ☺️ For sand, you can collect it from your garden and sieve it to make sure it’s very fine. If you’re buying it, choose the finest grade available for the best results. Silt would be ideal, but if you don’t have access to it, finely sieved sand will work as a great substitute. Have fun experimenting and enjoy the process! 😆💓💓
These days, I spend most of my time creating RUclips videos and running workshops, so I don’t make as many Dorodango as before. However, earlier this spring, I was doing a lot of research, and I ended up making a huge number of small Dorodango every single day! Back when I was in Japan, and my kids were still little so I wasn’t working, I used to make three Dorodango every day. 😊✨ Those were such fun and fulfilling days! Looking back, I realize I made about 1,000 Dorodango in a year… Seeing that number now is truly incredible! 😳
@ wow that’s impressive but I see the experience in your movement with this little bottle to the rough polishing and I was wondering how many I have to create to go to this stage of experience. Thank you so much for sharing this with us and doing this great tutorial
