Cathy, You know I have been making Journals for about three years, and today you have made my life so much easier, with the paper fold for my stitching in of my signatures. I typically measure, and that works but not having to measure, that makes binding sooooo much easier. Thank you so much for sharing. hugs Roxanne
These are so cute! My dad and stepmom play pinochle all the time, and they give me all their old decks of cards. This little project will help use some up!
Thank you so much for your sweet calm tutorials! I am a recent subscriber and I so enjoy watching you. I have tried a couple of your projects…they are always so sweet! I am definitely going to try these playing card booklets. Have a great day!
Charming Cathy!! I especially like the lavender booklet..Hello mass making.. What a unique gift tucked into an Easter basket...or anywhere..Thank you so very much..💚
Don't know if I can explain this well; but for people with shaky hands, needing to put glue right on the edge (especially card stock or paper that has some body to it) it is easier to hold the bottle right down nearer to the nozzle, and rest the middle finger (or even a knuckle) against the edge of the item, while squeezing the glue with thumb and forefinger. Once you've got some glue flowing, keep your glue holding hand steady, and with the other hand, move the paper so the glue dispenses along a line. (Just like fussy cutting where you hold the scissors steady, and wriggle the cutting out section more). Just move the item along, hold the glue line steady. You're basically using the edge to define where the glue goes, and if you position the nozzle really close, it will be faster and less likely to splodge or waver. This also works for artists who want to put a border along a sheet of paper, using a pen or pencil, as long as the nib or graphite touches the paper (without measuring or using a ruler). Keep the distance of your balancing finger or knuckle consistent; move the paper around while dispensing the glue. 2:43 Using the method I've mentioned, your left hand would tuck most of that card into the palm except for the starting corner (and as you go round, keep it between thumb and forefinger to avoid smudging glue); and your right hand would be at the neck of the bottle of glue instead of right at the end. Your right hand middle finger tip would rest against the edge of the card, and you'd angle the bottle so the glue can come out. The left fingers are manoeuvring the item. The right hand holds the glue nozzle steady. It's harder to describe than do lol.
Cathy this project is the greatest. Where do you get your flat back pearls, both colors? Also that taupe lace. Any idea where you found it? I'm a big fan of Cathy's Garden!!
ADORABLE LITTLE JOURNALS!! You give easy to follow instructions, too. ❤ this whole project. Question: At timestamp 28:42 the little journal has white lace on the cover that seems to be dotted(?) Any thoughts on where I could find something like this? I have seen others use something similar but I can't seem to find a seller. Thank you for any help. Hope itnwas a great Christmas for you and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Hi Cathy! I was interested in your "coffee slurry". My process is such a mess and just brushing it on would be much easier. Thank you.
I have a few coffee dying videos in my play list or simply scroll through my videos. Painting on the coffee is the best way for me! 💐🥰
Thank you!

Hi Cathy. Great idea. I might use flash card to make it just a little bit bigger. What is in your “coffee slurry?”
I have a coffee dying video on my RUclips channel. Just scroll through and you’ll find it. 💐🥰

I ordered the pearls off Amazon and the lace probably came from Joann’s shop. 💐🥰
