    I tried your trick and it worked ! Thanks ! A trick that I came up with is that, when you create your text box, if you can make the outline of your text bigger, it will create a separation from the back ground, and you wont have this problem when erasing it ! :)

    Canva just needs to implement a gradient fill for text. CorelDraw has had this for probably 20 years. Since I also have CorelDraw, I would create the gradient filled text there, then export it to Canva. Same thing for filling text with a photo.

    Thanks for keeping it real, Ronny! I bet you could do this with shapes, too.

    • @TeamRonDi
      @TeamRonDi  2 года назад

      Most shapes also have a frame version, so that makes filling them with a gradient easier.

    • @ComedorDelrico
      @ComedorDelrico 2 года назад

      @@TeamRonDi Oh, yes, good point! If you wanted to do something like a circle or a star, you could just use a frame.
      I was thinking of something like a bird-shaped or butterfly-shaped element. If you found a solid element with a simple design - like a solid silhouette shape - you could use this technique to add a gradient to it.

    Hi, always great content. A question: is it possible to animate font color where for instance blue color jumps from one word to the other when we try to follow a voice over? Hope I'm making sense. Thanks in advance!

    • @TeamRonDi
      @TeamRonDi  2 года назад +1

      You could achieve that result by starting a video project and having your text separated onto different pages. Each time a word changes color, it would need to be a different page.

    I would like to learn how to create a fantasy book cover where there's a woman with for example a ball of fire in one hand, with an epic background (a temple and other elements...), starting with Canva photos and cutting an head from a photo of a model and putting it on a '800 dress.

    Well, this is a welcome idea.
    However, it's still be better off if there is a built-in, designated function in Canva that would allow any text to blend into photos, have a gradient color option, and ability to warp and reorient texts.

      Hey there 👋
      You’ll need to export your design in PNG format and tick the box that says “transparent background”.
      You’ll need a Canva Pro account for that.

    I'm having a problem with this and I wonder if it's because I'm using a vertical gradient instead of a horizontal. I've tried outlining the text and using various amounts of transparency. It only seems to work with straight black text, which defeats the purpose. I think one of my problems is that some of the gradient colors are very light so there's not a lot of contrast, which is why I tried using a text outline, but that' didn't work either. Any suggestions?

      @@TeamRonDi No worries, I had a friend do what I needed. But I really think it's either the horizontal gradient or because I was using a very light color (almost white) for one part.
