I love all of your guest Jazz but I'm so glad the south got a little representation on this episode. And she ain't tell no lies. Depending on where you're at the south can be like a warzone for gays and lesbians. I'm from a military town where when you graduate you have three options, airforce, nurse or police officer. I didn't have a problem with following in my dads footsteps and becoming a police officer till the night I came out with my girlfriend next to me and I got kicked out of the house. Next day my stuff was outside in the rain my mom and siblings stopped talking to me because my dad told them to. Like Jazz said it's hard enough being black but then I was a black lesbian who just got disowned by the man she looked up too as a kid. Anyway, long story short he came around but like most families in south we don't talk about it. My girl doesn't come to family events or really socialize with my family and they don't really ask about her like that. My town just celebrated it's second pride festival since then and not a lot of people are happy about it but oh well right. Great job again Jazz and next time I'm in New York maybe I can be a guest on your show so we have some more southern seasoning.
Jazz is a whole vibe!!!! The exchange between her and her guests is organic and the topics are informative yet intriguing. Loving everything about it 🔥🔥🔥
I love this podcast, so many people need to hear topics concerning our community. I'm a lot older but I'm still learning different things from the conversations You're having with gest. So keep it going, I'll keep following 👍👍
Get ya life....momma taught us how to cook early...not because I need to cook for someone else....simply to survive for myself! Always be self sufficient.
I’m the one that had the differences with the terminology “stud” and “dyke” and I’m from the south but I still love the show and at the end of the day I support no matter what word you use keep doing what you’re doing ✊🏾
Heey ya'll! Just wanted to thank ya for this topic and the podcast in general! I have been in a relationship of many f years that changed me completely and took me a shyt load of years to find that out, that relationship really sucked the me out of me to the point of not even realizing that! And that's crazy. But I've learned major life's lessons and growth, and hope anyone out there who's going through it right now was watching this podcast! Ya'lls advice be hitting it! Thankx 4 sharing! Lots of Love And Peace To Ya Hugs, Missy Wright ✌🏽 🍀
It is 2019 and people have different terminologies for everything in different areas of the country. We are all apart of the LGBTQ community and we should love and accept each other no matter what you like to be called.
I have been watching this show since the first episode and what people up north have to realize is that NY is more diversified as far as culture goes. When there is more diversity in a state you tend to find more acceptance for all types of people. I also feel that in the LGBTQ community has more discrimination within our own community towards one another. All these labels do is limit people from loving someone who they really want to love. I have meet and dated people from all over and I just feel it depends on the person and how comfortable they are with themselves as to how a relationship is going to go not where they are from. On another note, can we get some older guest on the show,,,maybe 35 and up just to shed a different light on some of these topics? Everywhere in the south is not like Mississippi I just want people to know.
#BestOneSoFar I swea y’all hittin all points of a relationship with change or how people see us and then on top of that how people wanna change you after 2 or jus a year and why they can’t except u for who u r frfr #LiveYaTruth #BeYou #DntLetNobodyBreakYou
J, you’re experience with the “ex” is so relatable. My ex broke the fuck outta me bc she was jealous. Leaving her made room for my full self-acceptance and my wife. I left that broken and toxic woman and didn’t have a reason to look back.
Great conversation, great flow and definitely what some need to hear. I agree with tc g about having older lesbians on the show. Dropping gems of wisdom is an understatement!
I think Amber would be a good co-host so you have a varied sensibility in terms of regional thoughts in relation to lgbtq issues on the show and it’s not just focused on NY natives.
Yess really love these podcasts y’all be talking about some real shit that also pours into other topics other than love and relationships. Keep these up jazzyyy 💋
I completely agree with amber in the sense that it's about image up here.. it's about who has the best gear, shoes etc all materialistc.. n def competition it.feels like smh
I love love love this podcast! It's definitely becoming one of my favorites! However, please stop speaking over your guests. You interrupt them without letting them finish their thoughts.
I agree with her on the down south part. I’m from MS as well, still living here at the moment. It is definitely hard being openly gay down here and I feel like it’ll never change sadly. It is viewed as something we’re “forcing” on children (maybe that could be a topic). If they could ctrl, alt, del the lgbt community, they would in my opinion.. But YES! The food is bomb like she said. Great vacation spot etc..
Nobody needs to change for nobody. You are YOU ..you know from day one what you getting into . YOU should know SELF and be secure in YOURSELF XX I hate ppl who try to change other women. I wouldn’t want to change anyone else. YOU just got to be a better version of YOU love that XX
I agree in lesbian relationships we do move fast on everything bc it feels so good but oh boy wen stuff start taking a turn 🤦🏽♀️ we be like man we did move kinda fast on everything maybe we’ve took sum time to get to know each other better!!!
Jazz keep her as a co-host I like her she's sexy, country and she knows her stuff. I also agreed with what she was saying when she first spoke on the microphone
AYYYYE! The Sipp in the building. My gma used to call any lesbian a "dyke." I, personally, dnt use the word. OAN: Idc how MS or any other state looks at me for anything...🗣🗣🗣PERI-AHDD!
Excellent build as usual. Love all the content and episodes. Love from DC 🙌🏾💪🏾🔥♐️🤞🏾 I definitely just learned a karmic lesson from my last relationship. 💯
Everybody has they own STORY or they own WAY of how they DRESS or what to do or how to act but it’s hard goin to places cause WE ARE BLACK AND GAY but it’s hard as well plus it’s either GET IT IN WHERE WE FIT IN and some of us hate to be labeled but it is what it is frfr or some people can’t handle how we do things or even when u come out to your family....u have to worry bout if they goin to accept u for who u have become like it’s hard out here for us GAY people and especially if we GAY PEOPLE OF COLOR they already look down on us but they love to take our swag our style our everything but hey it’s a JUDGE FREE ZONE
Yall described an ex for real trying to change me. 1st lesbo situationship smh. She thought i was weak minded, she moved fast & blamed me for everything bad. It went down hill fast. Smh
Yes, it is extremely challenging to be in the south being the way that I am. In my family's eyes I am disgusting. They are embarrassed of me. They stay trying to hook me up. I get backlash from church and work. It is hard. And like Amber stated, being a doctor is the only acceptance. The only time I was 'accepted' was when I made the decision to pursue medical school.
I felt that episode like when y’all were talking about it’s ok to leave n be heartbroken girl I had to learn that from a previous relationship it’s crazy I didn’t think I’d hear this in the podcast .
Yep...I jumped into two LDR. Never again...Truly get to know someone really well first. I didn't speak up the first time because I didn't wanna hurt her. The second time, I spoke up and we broke up 5 mins later.
I love your terminology baby. Fuck who finds it offensive, you keep it real and we know you don’t mean no harm. Keep em coming baby! I love you and keep up the good shit!
Narcissistic behaviors is what she describing because they go hard to get their claws in then subtly try to isolate you and strip things away from you.
I believe after every situation you need that time to heal yourself and gain some kind of self clarity instead of moving right into the next thing. If you can’t reveal your own toxics ways yet then keep yo ass away from other people 🤷🏽♀️
U should have an older lesbian on the show...its different out here after maybe 35+...also they can drop some gems n wisdom on the young ones
tc g I GOT U
Def. I agree
Highly agree
I agree too
Yes!!!!!
She spoke facts the whole interview 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 bring her back!!
Homegirl with the green hair is hot🔥🔥🔥
So "light skin" lesbians are "popping" and brown skin lesbians are "regular"? The colorism is real. Love the podcast though, keep it up!
Denise Reese Exactly

New Yorkers really don't understand how different it is.
AMENTI THE WRITER MEDIA we do understand how different it is because not everybody is from New York
