Thanks for checking out our custom stage design for WWE SummerSlam 2023! Part 2 with entrances is coming soon!
For this one, Chris produced a to-scale replica of Ford Field in Trimble Sketchup, which Josh lit up in Syncronorm Depence R3 and Billy adorned with custom graphics! We hope you like it. We tried to stay true to the seating chart while not settling for just the small entrance tunnel. Come on WWE, use your imagination (and open up your production team’s budget! We know they have incredible ideas!) 😉

If it's 3 people it probably won't take that long to make if they're all consistently working on it. So maybe like a week or so

Stellar execution once again. Would also love to see a BTS of how you all recreate the arena structure's themselves prior to adding in the show elements!
Also, great design, both in your concepts and with the designs WWE ends up doing. I have been really impressed with how such a simple design becomes elegant once turned on. However, I can't lie that I still miss the big custom sets they use to do each PPV before they started using small variations of the TV sets for everything in 2013.

Kinda off topic, but this is how I picture when they say “If EA made WWE games” games would definitely benefit if they made it as real as possible when it comes to presentation and I would love for them to model the actual arenas/stadiums

That car is a good touch. I know they’ve gotten lazy with designs. But maybe an LED version like the one you added would be cool above the entrance stage like they had for the Royal rumble 2000 with the real car

@nathankohler1585 past two Summerslams was basically just an LED medium-sized door and a curved walkway. It's been a while since we've had an actual stage set for Summerslam. One would hope they would actually try for a unique stage set or something for being able to book one of the Big 4 PPV's in a large venue like this

As good as this is( and the small door stages are growing on me a bit) I really do miss the custom stages WWE used to do. No reason that they don’t have a custom one for SummerSlam like WrestleMania considering they have the SAME STAGES for everything!
WWE 2k doesn’t include the long ramp at the arenas.

You do realise WWE have a new Voiceover guy when they introduce the PLEs right.
They got rid of the previous one after last year’s Money in the Bank and brought in the new and somewhat sinister voiceover guy at last year’s SummerSlam after Mr McMahon “retired” and Hunter took over instead of Stephanie.

I love WWE and your creation but the only show that has a whole set is Wrestle mania it’s like why can’t each show have it own set?
WWE corporate gives the production team a much smaller budget, as they are heavily focused on maximizing profit and their operating income ahead of the upcoming sale. The corner-entry allows them to make the venue appear fuller for TV and sell more high value tickets with good sight-lines, without the massive expense of a major stage. Basically, lower costs and higher earnings.

The production team has to put on stadium sized shows with an arena sized budget, so they don’t do massive stages. Plus the smaller tunnel entrances allow them to make it look more full and tout a higher attendance number

Look no disrespect dude and I know you put alot of work into these videos but I use to look forward to your concept stages but they've gotten lazy like WWE very disappointed
Trey, no disrespect taken. We base our initial concepts on the floor plan provided when tickets drop. That being said, we usually make two (if we have time) where the first one is what we think WWE will do. The second one is what we would do if there was no budget, no limitations or anything. We didn’t have time to get around to that for Summerslam.
Secondly, the floor layout of these shows isn’t up to the people designing the stage. It’s up to corporate and how many tickets they are able to sell. The WWE has a budget friendly model right now that allows them to sell lots of tickets, without spending a crazy amount on the set but still having a visually pleasing presentation whilst also saving the spectacle of the Wrestlemania set (with the exception of the Saudi shows but that’s a different story).
We understand people think this layout is “lazy” but it’s profitable for the company. We can shift our creativity to fit this new model of shows and allow people to speculate on what the actual presentation could look like whilst still being in the parameters. See our MITB set compared to the real stage.

Chris is spot on! Also Trey, we have families and full time jobs. This is a hobby for us and the content is free for you to enjoy. If we didn’t keep some of the productions more simple, there wouldn’t be nearly as much content provided. Also… starting with “no disrespect” and then calling us lazy is a VERY interesting take on respect 😂 in all seriousness, thank you for watching and for your feedback!
