Mega Comment. Watched that Tokyo DVD to death.
@@endezeichengrimm I actually had it on VHS for a long time, and then on DVD. That VHS tape got a run for its money, definitely
I've always liked and appreciated this guy. Every album by Gilby is a good stuff but Pawnshop Guitars is pure rock n roll. Saw him in a concert back in 2006, it was a great show.
I was there too - loved that gig!! Budapest Boat A38, right? ;-)
Underrated player & artist. His debut album Pawnshop Guitars is good listening!
This guy just looks Rock n roll ... And he gelled amazingly with Slash
Can't agree more! He is the real deal, a true musician, and seems very humble and down to earth. He has some good solo albums
Cure me or kill me, what a great tune and monstrous riff
One of my first riffs I’ll play whenever I grab a guitar.
The man with the new Corvette
Gilby got so awsone while playing in GnR 90s era....what a good times!
He is a very underated Guitarist.
The only person who could’ve replaced Izzy and do it just as good as he did. Also when is the Slash riff lords coming out?😉
no one will ever replace izzy. pshh
@@sunburststrats true. Gilby did a great job though.
One of those few down to earth motorcycle cowboys in the rock n roll world. not only a great musican but a great person either! rocknroll is getting louder! #gilbyclarkegermany
Skin N' Bones! That first Gilby's album was really great!

@@gibsonguitar A Gilby Epiphone LP would be lovely
I heard he was also in a band called Capone.
Cool house where is that? Doesn't look like Socal.
Sounded like the opening of Hurricane by Bob Dylan
Nice...Sounds very Social D’ish...me likey
"The man with a new Corvette" - in short Gilby was wearing a T-shirt that Duff liked and wanted. So Duff said "I'll give you my Corvette or that T-shirt". So Gilby handed over his Tshirt and got a Corvette. That night or few days later Axl made that classic comment.
Get Gilby back to Guns n Roses!!!
first :>
edit: love me some Gilby Clarke, he told me that Gibson should give me a honey burst les paul ;)
Noice
Hi I'm first
Gilby is pure rock n roll, but Gibson why have you not brought in Alvin Youngblood Hart !
From my pov, pawn shop guitars is better than anything done by Slash, Duff, or Izzy on solo records. When Gilby was fired from the band, you can tell Axl was taking the wrong decisions, and was the beginning of the debacle.
Surely Gibson can interest some actual famous musicians to do these features?
We feature a wide range of players throughout the series! Be sure to check out all episodes. Thanks for watching!
@@gibsonguitar Well whenever I see it one has to ask, who are these people if you know what I mean? Gibson although their reputation has been tarnished of late being bully boys still could get whoever they like for these features, please wow us next time?
I've heard of Gilby Clark, never heard of you though Neil.
@@adamski101 Ads you obviously have no concept of the word fame which Gibson of all companies has the right to attach itself to through 'famous' musicians not sideline characters.
Neil sounds like a bitter couch musician. Lol
