      Great to hear. It’s a good machine. Should serve you well. If you haven’t already invest in a good gun and hose. It will up the experience and stay with you long after a future machine swap. Stay away from the non steel braided hoses as they can surge on the 2.0. Not always but sometimes. Share some feedback with everyone after you get some time on the machine.

    Another banger Jeremy. Would like to throw in the Ryobi 1800 $100 at home Depot usually $50 for black Friday. With a 3.0 nozzle you can get 1090 PSI and 1.4GPM so comparable to the karcher. But you save between $70 to $120. On reliability. I've personally had mine for two years for weekly washes. No problems but I do have a fully upgraded kit. Active 2.0 or 3.0 is my next whenever this one goes but it's still going strong

    • @aaron30569
      @aaron30569 Год назад

      @@HawaiiDetailing yep can't wait to try it out active is really doing some good innovative things in the detailing space. The problem with most pressure washers at the big box stores is that they want high psi numbers vs GPM. To do that they use smaller nozzles limiting flow and it always causes the pressure washer to work harder. Active just wants the highest GPM which is awesome

      I agree the specs are nice but for some people that have the money the Kranzle is an awesome machine. If I was in the pressure washer market and on a tighter budget I would go with Active or if I was not sure about or ready to go all in I would go with an active. If I was sure I wanted to be in this for the long haul and had the money Kranzle. TV's now a days we are the same situation. Get a entry level 80" walmart / Costco TV for 1/3 the price of a high quality TV. Replace every few years because its cheap but the bummer is you have to watch a TV that is not that great everyday. Tools and electronics are very similar like this.

      The AR 630 is hardly portable, but the AR 613 is (2gpm+). And that too is serviceable - meaning it should last you a long time if you maintain it/change oil etc. I bought the 613 instead of Kränzle because it's so compact, a little lighter but still a serviceable medium duty machine with good flow. A great upgrade from my Kärcher K-5.👍 The real difference is gpm ( and in the long run: lifespan of the machine/serviceability). But the combination of output/gpm, weight/portability and prosumer serviceability of the 613 sold it for me.
      In both cases (Kränzle and AR) are European brands, and we have different grid (230-240VAC/50Hz) and the modelnumbers are a bit different for both brands. Both are upper range manufacturers of commercial grade equipment. In fact we have 3 different versions of the 613 here where i live, and it's not even called AR, but IPC. There's a lower amp version, and two 2,9kW-versions: One high pressure/lower gpm and one lower pressure/higher gpm. I've got the lower pressure/higher gpm version. It's rated 2,7 gpm and a 0.45 orfice feels nice for rinsing a car.
      There must be some difference between our grid and how electrical motors functions, but anyway: If portability is important, the AR-613 is even better than the similar Kränzle. 18,4 kg or 41lb and better ergonomics. As a European, I could get a similar Kränzle at the same price as an AE-613. I opted for the -613. It's such a nice high quality portable package. Cheers.🍻 Don't worry about the noise - when washing, the sound of waterflow/pressure will be all you're hearing...
      I know: OG tested it, and turned it down before the the 630. But portability was never discussed. If portability is an issue, the 630 is out, and 613 is gold. The 15-amp discussion is also a bit dumb. If you've only got a 15-amp outlet, then an AR-630 is off anyway? Matts only real argument aginst the -613 was that it would potentially blow a 15 amp circuit and the potential of 0.3 gpm difference. One is portable, and one is not.
      Sometimes there's good reasons for portable options. If your're up north and don't have a heated garage - you definitively want a portable option. Plenty of reasons to go portable.

    Hey Jeremy, I've always wondered, won't the electricity pass through the plunger pump and give someone a shock if they accidentally touch it?
    My 14-year-old Karcher domestic K3.550 just broke, and I want to upgrade to a plunger pump with a good flow rate and pressure that are not encased in plastic and a part of its brass triplex plunger is exposed. But I'm worried about getting an electric shock if I accidentally touch it without turning off the power switch on the motor to remove the inlet and outlet water pipes from the brass plunger. Can you help me understand this?
    For example, the Karcher HD511 cage classic doesn't come with a 3-pin plug, so technically there's no ground. Is it still safe to hold the cage and move it around when there is power running through the machine ? I also saw your video on the best portable PWs, and there was a naked PW like Kranzle. Doesn't that pose an electric shock threat?
    I would really appreciate it if you could make a video on the best safety practices to follow to avoid life-threatening situations while using a pressure washer. Many of us don't realize how careful we need to be around pressure washers and how to use them safely.

    I just picked up the active 2.0 and I’m running a 100ft 3/8 UBERFLEX hose. Is it common when you run a 100ft 3/8inch hose that when you pull the trigger on the gun it take a sec for the pump to turn on and then you let go of the trigger it take a sec for the pump to stop? It doesn’t do this with my 50ft 1/4inch UBERFLEX hose.

    • @HawaiiDetailing
      @HawaiiDetailing  Год назад +1

      First make sure there are no leaks. With my 100' mtm hose it does not do this delay at all. I have never used a 100' uberflex only a 50' and it worked great but... Uberflex is definitely not nearly the quality of the better hoses I have tested. I try to tell everyone in my videos but they think I am just spending money on the better stuff for the hell of it. Uberflex is not as rigid or robust and will not last anywhere near as long. This lack of rigidity could have something to do with the pressure switch being delayed on a 100' hose I do not know??
      I am thinking 1 of 3 things
      1. Possible slight leak in the fittings causing pressure drop. Make sure they are not leaking at all
      2. Hose is not rigid enough over a 100' length and is causing a pressure fluctuation causing the pressure switch to delay both during Start & Finish. Test again with the 50' hose to rule out #3
      3. Pressure switch in the machine is very sensitive or malfunctioning however this is extremely unlikely if it works great with the 50' hose.
      I hope that helps

      Yeah. That’s why for people that are willing to spend the money I always say that the Kranny is everything that you would want and then some. They just can’t have the same quality at the Karcher or even the active price point. A good play is to get a long hose 50’ or so and put it further away so you don’t have it sitting right next to the car while you are working. Thanks for watching

    I don’t have any experience with pressure washers with foam cannons but if I started today I think I would get the Active 2. It is just me washing my own car at home. As far as the number of hours the pressure washer will last, I would be willing to bet it will last for more hours if you washed your car once per week compared to running nonstop until it breaks because it wouldn’t build as much heat.

      I agree it has that cheaper sound to the motor that every budget pressure washer has. An easy answer is long hose, long cord and keep it a few feet away. All in all the sound is not that bad.

      If you can afford it go Kranzle. Been my recommendation from day 1. Active is a disposable unit that cannot be repaired after it dies. I have had mine for quite a while with 0 issues but this machine does have a more consumer grade life expectancy. Thanks for watching

    The difference between 1.4 and 1.9gpm isn’t much. For some reason everybody thinks they need 2.0gpm to wash vehicles. Lol

    • @HawaiiDetailing
      @HawaiiDetailing  11 месяцев назад

      There are so many differences between a 1k pressure washer and an economy model. 2.0 GPM from a high end pressure washer is just one of the many benefits. Noise, build quality, ability to service instead of a non serviceable unit, pressure switch functionality just to name a few. I always recommend getting the best machine you can based on your needs as well as financial situation. When you end up with a more economical machine you just have to be prepared to accept the differences. Thanks for watching
