Aside from extreme prices for any VW camper these days, these vans are just too small for my comfort. However, I've seen many great VW campers out there and this one having the bed in the back seems like a great option for your the layout. I knew that the engine was in the back so i always assumed it would be pretty difficult to do anything semi-permanent. Glad to see that wasn't a hindrance for you and your dad to build something that worked.
I feel like your style for producing tours has greatly changed and improved recently! Your videos have a better flow now that incorporates storytelling as well, and I just can’t get enough of your new videos!
Thank you...I'm happy to add my flare of story telling. You'll see a change for sure in my work compared to theirs. But we are hoping to merge all our work together in the near future so that it's more seamless.

This is a Vanagon, not a Westfalia. All Westfalias are Vanagons or Micros but not all Vanagons or Micros are Westfalias.

I know of a Westfalia that is just rusting away because the owner wants too much money for it and doesn’t need to sell it. It’s old and I am concerned about seals, hoses, and other stuff that deteriorated after decades so I’m scared to think about restoring it due to lack of restoration knowledge and fear of getting ripped off. Other than that (!) I’d go for it.

What does that van have to do with Westfalia? Exactly nothing.
From a mechanical point of view, VW vans are way overrated. The later model ones were plagued with annoying problems. I think its funny that they are now considered a status symbol.
I had a Vanagon like this back in the 90s that had a 2.3 ford in it, ran great. :)
They say that with vw buses/vans u get to.be your own mechanic..so idk if they are overrated
